If you can't find such a speciment, I used these on mine https://hmrs.org.uk/br-coach-lining-up-to-including-blue-grey-period.html I find Pressfix easier to use for lining than waterslide transfers as having the backing paer on the top keeps them nice and straight. HTH.

You'll need to swap the whistle on the cab front for a pair of air horns. Also, the first class bit requires the yellow designation stripe and the buffet car the red designation stripe as these were already in use by the time CEPs and BEPs recived the SYP. Image copyright Colour Rail. NOT mine!

AFAIK, Heaton Lodge Junction is by far the larger layout. However, Pete and the Railnuts team have an aspiration to bring together all three of the Making Tracks layouts with a much extended fiddleyard which would produce something bigger than HLJ. There are as yet no confirmed plans, so no speculation please! Pete and the team will let the world know as and when they're good and ready.

If I understand their history correctly, the green SYP loco is, technically speaking, a class 30 (original cr@p Mirrlees engine) and not a class 31 (re-engined with an English Electric engine). As there are no extant class 30s, there is nothing from which to take a sound recording. Hence no sound fitted option. I'm not sure if any were re-engined while still in green. Can anybody confirm or deny the existence of green SYP class 31s?

Who has announced a class 74? Have I missed something or is it a typo?

How frequently does the shuttle bus run? Is there a timetable published? All I can find is that the first bus from the station is at 8:30 and last from the racecourse at 17:30. My train arrives at 37 minutes past the hour and I don't fancy a 53 minutes wait if they are only hourly. :-(

Very true. I for one will never feel any nostalgia for Pacers. However, if I may play Devil's advocate, we now have the concept of "the Concorde moment". The point at which no change ever seems to bring any improvement and usually quite the reverse. By example, every new train is less comfortable than the old one it replaced. Pacers are perhaps the exception that proves this rule. Maybe RTR models are reaching their "Concorde moment" to remain afordable and consequently commercially viable, levels of fitted detail will have to fall? Only time will tell.

A great suggestion. If Bachmann were to tool-up the Thompson BG to the correct length and make it available in BR maroon, then I would replace my fleet of the original overlength ones. :-)

Good call! BR(S) green for me please. A centre car would allow the production of a 4EPB too.

If we're whishlisting here, I'd like to see more of the Bulleid coaches in later condition wearing BR(S) green. Also, a diagram 2406 BCK in BR(S) green please Mr Bachmann.
