  1. The parcels rake only has five coaches in at the moment made up of two Hornby and three Bachmann vehicles. This is the Bachmann maroon GUV W86263 attached to the Hornby Full Brake W 304 W using the pipe couplings and Modellers Mecca gangways where applicable. This is the choc/cream Bachmann BG W81205 attached to aforementioned GUV the same way. 81205 BG to 80725 BG. Another Bachmann BG in maroon ,80725 attached to Hornby Full Brake W 322 W
  2. Well as my fiddle yard is clear at the moment awaiting a new backscene I thought I'd take a few shots as it is at the moment.Using 92220 on a parcels.. ... and as we're talking coaches,I shew my parcels stock in more detail...
  3. That well known ITV 'talent' show is back tonight or banal b***ocks tv as I call it.Must be Autumn.

I watch it until all of the wannabes have finished the auditions then wait for next year. It's the only good bit of it!

  4. Thanks for the very detailed reply. To put pictures to your words here are the Comet builds below. W6 C54 http://www.cometmodels.co.uk/modules/viewcatpic.php/8/615 W7 D95 http://www.cometmodels.co.uk/modules/viewcatpic.php/8/616 W8 E127 http://www.cometmodels.co.uk/modules/viewcatpic.php/8/617 W11 C67 http://www.cometmodels.co.uk/modules/viewcatpic.php/8/620 [pressed steel bogies, could use Bachmann] Which one would be the most useful to build first then ?
  5. There are lots of other permutations loco-wise before I'd consider an 8F although I do like the sound of a fish train.Of course I still want to model the LMS coaches seen on the Liverpool - Penzance cross country trains too.Short of coaching stock of all varieties though.
  6. Yes I'd love to see him wave his magic wand over one. You don't hang around do you Mark.I thought you were lettering some GPV's !
  7. What do you expect from a competition where the winner can come from a City where the winners where sometimes they're not even the best side.Liverpool 2005.Everton finished higher in the league that season.
  8. I think that the Finching Sisters wouldn't be the only ones to need therapy if they saw it on Brent. I think Spams has got more chance than that lump. Not a beautiful Castle is it. You should know Phil that BR black is not my favourite colour. I'll bet it's got a sweet chassis though.
  9. I'm waiting to hear from Captain Kernow but I hear he's busy with the doubling of the track at Kemble. I could do the lining paper but how long can you keep mixed unused paste for I wonder.
  10. Not quite true David. There was about a 1000 'home' fans there on Sunday. It will go along way in paying for the new proposed stadium.Not. !
  11. A fabulous project Kris but have you abandoned Avonwick then.
  12. I've had a prompt reply back from Art Printers concerning my bespoke backscene.A very reasonable £5 extra on top of their usual £10 inclusive of p/p for a 10 ft x 9'' scene.Photos need to be taken in portrait style with a 25% overlap and the more the better blend you get.Sounds promising.
  13. Devonshire Cordylines or Yucca's are realisticly found here. http://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/ http://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/index.php?search[keywords]=yucca&_a=category
  14. RMweb is closing in on 20000 members.Quite an achievement I'd say.

We only need 16 more people to join, until we receive our free Bachmann 4fs, hehe, (see my old status update)

  15. Final few of the diverted Castle hauled 'Royal Duchy'.The stones I used in the foreground are talus from Woodland Scenics available in different sizes and four different colours.Mine are the buff. http://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/category/talus
  16. How I agree and Gordon and Maggie are what I call modelling 'greats' in our hobby.Just been looking at some photos of Pempoul on Flickr and the only thing I have in common is an untidy workbench. I was going to post some more of my Castle but I need to have a lie down... Have a look at his conifers.Stunning work. http://www.flickr.com/photos/themodelrailwayshow/8429436569/in/set-72157632647597095/
  17. This is what it could look like Ralf.
  18. I've got to ask him first. Incidently if you type Gordon Gravett into Google images you get one of our Captain Kernow come up. Anyway back to some action and due to the engineering works trains have been diverted down the branch [?]. Augustus Snodgrass can't believe his eyes, as on a bank holiday too,a lovely Laira based Castle passes on the down 'Royal Duchy'.He's thinking he had one too many at The Packhorse and might be dreaming. What a joy for those spotters though....
  19. I'm not Gordon Gravett ! Anyway less talk and more action.I've ripped off the faded backscene and given the boards a light coat of primer to seal it.I'm going to do what I did before and put some lining paper on.I'm tempted to get a quote from the printers ID use http://www.art-printers.com/ to make a scene from Captain Kernows photos of the Brent area.If I ask him nicely I'm sure he'd retake them in glorious sunshine to make it more believable.
  20. Thanks Jan.Its a long time since you contributed,I thought I'd offended you.Yes I agree it needs sorting.
