  1. When youve got Rails of Sheffield asking £180 for 1 x TSO in blue and grey numerous others on ebay selling for up to £225 and current a rake on there for £849 with 3 x TSOs included I am just keeping everything crossed that this week Bachmann will scupper those silly prices and do a rerun with some new running numbers....I would like to see Midland prefix M numbered Mk2fs for true WCML trains. Ill now stump up £95 a pop for a coach a relative bargain when you see the prices of the okd ones
  2. Are Bachmann 90 pans available as spares as id sooner swap for one of those.
  3. Thing is i guess is that lattice type cant be easy to manufacture they are complex 3d items so i can its hard to pull out of an injection mould....still i would love to see a full host of ohle types inckuding masts with weights, termination gantries of 3 and 4 track spans twin arm masts double track lattices etc. Its all very slow to come to market. Dapol talked a good game of adding to their mk3 style masts but weve had zippo.
  4. New Class 87 executive livery sample looks very good. The revised 21 pin decoder socket now fitted is a welcome advance that should have featured from day 1 but adios amigos to the 8 pin. no mention if the lighting functions controllability has been improved though. Be nice if the corridor was lit independently with indepedent cab lighting. Pity no livery sample of the large logo 87006 which is real shame......strange reason given for that not appearing i thought. The loco is no different to 009. The pantograph is this models biggest let down though. No effort in the images to even try and pose it to look half ok.
  5. The lighting features always interest me and the tones do look great. Good to see them add engine room lighting too. I hope we see them refresh their class 85 electric to a similar std. Removal roof hatches seems to be the way to go though and lookkng at the new Bach 37 you still need to remove the bodyshell to do the necessary.
  6. Sorry this might be in the wrong thread but have Peco launched any new concrete flat bottom code 75 track as i think maybe ive missed a,meeting or is it still the same 102F finescale track? Hoping for sleeper length and spacing to be of similar prortions to their super looking bullhead track......is it a thing? Also thought that long radius concrete turnouts were on the cards......
  7. I'm terrible for this but due to FOMO and a feeling it will be a strong seller I have relented and pre-ordered 86 417 'The Kingsman' - looks a corker of a livery but really wish it was on the new platform with cab and side corridor lighting which when you look at some of the other cheaper models coming along now should be a fairly standard set of features on a £200 loco.
  8. looking to find out if the the INTERCITY branded RFB buffet mk2f's were used in the XC short rakes ever ran with the blue and grey Mk2f stock or did they only come along strictly after the start of the earlier I'nter-City' Executive era?
  9. a few coats of varnish on the cab light LED should dim them down nicely unless they have CV that can be tweaked
  10. thanks for heads up even if there was a connection I dont think that matters.........
  11. ive noticed that the virgin trains versions of the TSO seems to be in plentiful supply still both dc and dcc ob oard and at good prices ........why is that ? The blue and grey TSOs cannot be found anywhere and when they pop up on ebay youll be paying anything from £100 to £220 for one.......amazed the se virgin TSOs havent all disappeared.im sure there was big calls for the virgin livery when the mk2fs weref irst announced......
  12. im hoping accurscale jump on the 2F bandwagon........£60 for a detailed mk2f with lighting yes please
  13. look up and watch the handy and numerous videos from the mid to late 8-s at Carstairs where you will a greatd of wcml rakes of differing types. very interesting stuff.
  14. Anothrr non dcc TSO.sold tonight on ebay for £142......staggering. wonder what the winners max bid was to get their mitts on it.....
  15. i know some seem to frown on those that like interior lights on locos and coaches and the running of trains in darker conditions but that photo of the FO above says its all. brings a layout life during a night or early morning scene. bachmanns coaches might been pricey now but at least they did a great job of the lights.
  16. the roof access innovation is great and as usual with great ideas its amazingly simple...why did we have to take the body off all this time........love it. innovations and value? they do work together then.......
  17. lot of advances in this new model...........if you read the spec.
  18. Seen a blue and grey inter city TSO mk2f go for £122 last night on ebay and it was not even a DCC fitted version....... I know these are very rare but still seems crazy. Would love to see a £60 mk2f with lights from Accurascale.
  19. I need a decoder for mine. The plan is to try and add a cab light at one end plus corridor lights so i think it needs to be a 4 function. What do people recommend? Non sound.
  20. Hope hornbys new 87 009 is a good match to this for double heading.
  21. Just seen a corking video on you tube about the old Clacton 309 express EMUs....amazed they came in so many liveries and formations......wonder how good these would sell in RTR 00 form if Bachmann did them......
  22. Does anybody know the running numbers for the first releases of Mk2fs.....i have a feeling they were all Eastern Region prefixes......hopefully the next run will be M ptefix.
  23. Seen a few of these on ebay £186 with free postage.......thought ebay take about 15% off your listed price so not sure how they can sell for that price if theyre only getting about £159 for each one........buyer beware!
  24. Ps my handrails are all nice and straight.
