  1. First image is opposite where the Imperial War museum stands on Trafford Wharf Road. Second picture is Trafford Park Road, just after third avenue, in the middle of the image on the left hand side is a dome, it is the top of the Trafford Park Hotel. So the last photo has the Manchester International Freight Terminal on the left and over to the right and out of sight is the line to Warrington Central. Now this is the site of the DB terminal and the track plan is very different - those tracks curving away behind the engine onto the MSC lines in Trafford Park are long gone.
  2. The 365s also got clobbered going up and down the ECML, like the 91s they are probably knackered as well as old technology
  3. This looks like the drama programme that resulted in the set of seat covers for the APT at Crewe mentioned in @Phil Parker's trip to Crewe Heritage https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-59379022
  4. Maybe they are health workers concerned about being compelled to have the vaccinations after having read the multipage release forms that are required for any healthworker receiving a vaccine and then having to consent to it. Imagine, your job or your consent, it's not consent when your livelyhood depends on the jab.
  5. But probably not many 5-7 year olds remembering their first standard and seeing it going for scrap, "Daddy I feel old, I can remember 92199 when it was first built"
  6. Well with record daily numbers of positive tests comes record numbers of people self isolating.
  7. Interesting as I am awaiting three packages currently from Fedex, should have arrived Wednesday, didn't, rescheduled to Thursday and didn't arrive now I don't know where it is as one part is showing no delivery date and the other two parts are showing as sometime today. And I am wasting now a days leave when I could go out for parcels that may or may not arrive.
  8. It certainly placed him outside of any F1 or team bubbles for Covid, so maybe he can miss it. Must have already been planned though, so what would have happened had he won?
  9. That's a difficult one. It comes down to how unhappy you are, the grass isn't always greener elsewhere and you could find yourself with another kind of unhappiness and be on less money. I work in software development, I've had a hard 12 months (see mojo thread) but I do like my company and my job remains interesting though at times lonely. With your current employer are there any opportunities to do other work in your downtime that might alleviate some of the boredom, or would they allow you to do some self development to make you more valuable to them?
  10. You can mix liveries blood/custard and maroon, chocolate/cream and maroon or maroon and blue/grey. In this example your R4845 can run at either end of your maroon or blood/custard rakes or even your chocolate/cream rake as all cover a similar period - the chocolate/cream being a WR livery for special expresses.
  11. Didn't say they played the same parts in series 4!! Though Hilary was being typecast as the archetypal German
  12. But would it stop them ringing Liberty and threatening to pull their team(s) who will then ring the Race Director
  13. So we've got the coal range, is this a milk range or a parcels range beginning. And come one guys, how about an N range
  14. I thought it took a much authentic route once it got to Series 4 and it moved to France, only two of the original cast moved to the fourth series, Hilary Minster and John D Collins.
  15. It's the right decision, the FIA have accepted mistakes were made and will address them. MB are still champions and Hamilton would not want a contentious title which is what it would be. Hamilton has already moved on and continuing this only creates a nasty taste and a diversion with the start of testing for the next season only a couple of months away. As they often say, it is what it is.
  16. Casually waiting for a set of Les Mills pump weights and bar to arrive......for the wife.

    1. Tim Hall

      Tim Hall

      Sounds like a fair swap.

  17. As has been said, he used to maintain model trains, he knows more than he lets on and has even built his own locos from scratch using 3d printing for the body and chassis and then adding the motor and wheels etc. Just remember he is targetting an audience and by playing with trains on the carpet, having fun, not talking down to people or being overly pedantic he is getting people to view his content which earns him money.
  18. They operate between Willesden and Warrington, Shieldmuir and Low Fell
  19. Looking like Christmas day will be just three people again, we were planning on having 7 in the house. But, given my wife works in schools that are full of infected children, younger sibling works in a major shopping centre and eldest sibling and partner like to socialise and live with 4 other people, then I am not sure a family gathering including two elderly vulnerable people is a good idea now. Anyone could get infected between now and Christmas day, and the longer I leave it to make a decision the harder it becomes for them to make alternative arrangements, I don't think my mother in law is happy but I think she is not realising the risk at the moment.
  20. Not sure I'd call the period where 91s and HSTs ran all that modern, unless you mean just before the introduction of the IEP. For the 1990s you can get classes 20, 31, 37, 47, 56 and 58 in N gauge, there are also DMUs 101, 150, 156, 158 and you've got the class 320/1 coming from Revolution albeit wrong livery for the time as it needs a Metro livery. For post privatisation you do have similar options to choose from too less anything scrapped but we are lacking a TPE 185 and it does get harder if you want to model surburban and outer suburban services from Kings Cross with only the 313 on the horizon.
  21. How about a container swinging gently from a crane glancing your house - thought the house was about to collapse.
  22. @Phil Parker Osborns has acknowledged his question on the N gauge Forum and Spinter150 has messaged him with the details of the transaction.
  23. I wouldn't normally advocate using a different forum, but have you tried the N gauge forum, he is on there and does reply to people when they ask questions directly. He certainly responded to a complaint last week that was raised there.
  24. Oh yes, he needs to be better than both RB drivers but dutifully behind Hamilton - for one season, unless Hamilton is off pace, when Russell chases the win.
