I will be attempting to take my Mum to my old infants school this morning. It's a long long time since she used to take me. She will no doubt retell the tale of a five year old me being heartbroken at not being able to go to school on Boating Day, because I wanted to see the boats. I say attempting, because although it is less that quarter of a mile away at the other end of the road she lives on, neither of us are sure that we can actually walk that far. We are both pretty certain that the walk back will be much worse. My sister (the only child) was supposed to be coming to give us a lift, but it seems she had to cry off because she had a previous appointment at the manicurist. Provided the weather stays nice it will be a nice day out and Mum being Mum she feels that she must vote... Families. Can't live with them. Can't shoot them. Best to all those ailing.
