  1. In no particular order: Strathclyde PTE orange and black Strathclyde PTE orange and black Strathclyde PTE orange and black Strathclyde PTE orange and black Strathclyde PTE orange and black Strathclyde PTE orange and black Strathclyde PTE orange and black Strathclyde PTE orange and black Strathclyde PTE orange and black Strathclyde PTE orange and black Oh, and I wouldn't say no to a Strathclyde PTE orange and black
  2. The Train Pack has the BSO 'Mow Cop' and Warwick, both of which are Mk2D on the prototype. The other coach in the pack, Chatsworth should be a Mk2E like the real thing. The Coach Pack with Alnwick, Belvoir and Harlech are now correct as these are all Mk2E in real life. The previous releases of Belvoir and Harlech as Mk2D were incorrect. Got the Coach Pack reserved. Can anyone who has one confirm if it's true FO interior with 2 + 1 seating?. That was the other glaring anomaly with the previous Northern Belle coaches, that it had 2+2 fittings.
  3. I just discovered Shedring Hobbies at the weekend via a post on Facebook by Barnsford Bridge. Like me, they have a collection of Malcolm trucks and I see that Shedring do the Code 3 transfers for these. So with both Barnsford Bridge and Shedring at the show, it gives me all the more incentive to plan a wee trip back home
  4. Had a message from my local stockist (thanks @Widnes Model Centre) who've had confirmation from Hornby that this is the case. Mk2D for the Train Pack and Mk2E for the Coach Pack.
  5. Another thing I want to check. On their website they refer to the Mk2d brake as being (Mow Cop) as per the prototype, but in all the picture (as posted above) it still just shows the old running number Car 17167. I've got a set of Fox transfers to rename some coaches into Mow Cop, Alnwick and Balmoral > all missing from the original Hornby releases of a few years back. Like I say, I'm holding off now to see if this years releases are a new updated Mk2e. If they are, then I'll get the Coach & Train Pack. If not, will stick with what I've got and apply the transfers. The real thing will be passing my doorstep in an hours time en-route to Llandudno Junction, so may just take myself down there to see it today.
  6. With the Train Pack being reduced by Hornby from an RRP of £239.99 to £149.99, it does lead me to believe that they are using the old Airfix/Railroad Mk2d. So why would they do the Coach pack in the new Mk2e? I've already got a full rake of some 11 Northern Belle coaches including the new Bachmann baggage car. If let my local model shop know that I'm interested in both the new Coach & Train pack, but just want to know for sure if they are the new Mk2e before I think about upgrading. My OCD has gone into overdrive.
  7. Not strictly Pullman. It's the Northern Belle coach pack re-released with different coach names from the previous release R4539.
  8. DMU's 107 444 (PTE) & 116 396 (Trans Clyde) Ayr Townhead, 6th April 85. Just the TransClyde legend, the symbol having been dropped (assuming it was there to begin with.
  9. Hope it's OK to post this that I received as an email from the club: As from 5pm on Monday 23rd September the Bachmann Collectors Club website will be temporarily unavailable due to a scheduled changeover to a new improved system. The process will take a week to complete with our new website available to use as from the 1st October. The new website has been designed to mirror the look and feel of the old one but when logging onto it for the first time you will be prompted to reset your password. Once this has been done you will have access to all the familiar features of the website and will be able to renew your membership or purchase club merchandise along with a host of other improved features. Collectors Club staff will be unable to process renewals and/or purchases made by telephone or mail during this period and we would kindly request that renewals and purchases are carried out either before the shutdown on Monday 23rd September at 5pm or after the new system has been installed on the 1st October. There may also be a delay in the processing of orders and renewals for a short period following this while we catch up on the ‘lost week’! I am sure you will appreciate this is a large undertaking for us and we would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and patience whilst these improvements are taking place. If you do need to contact the Club office for any reason during this period please feel free to call in on 01455 245 565 or drop us an email at: collectorsclub@bachman-europe.co.uk
  10. Read my post again. this was last years announcement.
  11. Same here. Got the Scotrail Inter7City Power Cars but awaiting to see what coaches go with them.
  12. I doubt it as the prototypes are a mix of Mk2 e and Mk 2 d. Would like to see them tackle the dining car 325 Duart and kitchen/bar 1566 Caerdydd as then I would have the entire train in model form.
  13. An unavoidable bit of bad planning by me means that I'll be up in Ayr this weekend, the week before the show and no chance of being back the following week Hope it's a success for all.
  14. Just got an email from TfW that they are doing a Club 50 offer, £29 return. So looks like I can get a bargain trip to the NEC for Warley https://tfwrail.wales/club50
  15. Not great as it was my phone through a glass cabinet, but they look pretty smart.
  16. My post was referring to last years Members Day where they released a Class 47 that you could buy & take home that day, as well as distributing a flyer announcing 3 x class 37's. By comparison, this years Members Day was an anti-climax with no new announcements being made.
  17. Members Day yesterday at Llangollen Railway. A good day out at what for me is my local heritage line. Was a tad disappointed at the lack of any new release or specials. At last years Club Day at Churnett Valley, they surprised us all by having 47 716 in EWS Duke of Edinburgh's Award as a surprise announcement and available to buy and take home on the day. There was also a flyer announcing the 3 Rep edition Class 37's. With that in mind, I was hoping for something similar yesterday and had fired myself up for a Class 90 in Malcolm livery as an exclusive Collectors Club model. Ah well, as they say, if you don't expect, you won't be disappointed. There were a few EP's in the display case to look at, the 158, Class 20/3's etc. Will download my photos later and post a few if they're half decent.
  18. I believe they have a cunning plan to swap wheelsets between OO, EM and P4
  19. The OO version in TPE was released earlier this year. Got mine and just awaiting the coaches. https://www.hattons.co.uk/newsdetail.aspx?id=407 (Other retailers are available)
  20. Good luck with the show. Can't make it I'm afraid as despite working down in Swansea a day or two a week just now, I'll be back in my old home town that weekend for the Ayr model railway show.
  21. Hope to get down to this if I can get a day pass from SWMBO That'll be Wigan on the 5th, Warrington the 19th and now Welshpool on the 26th. I really am depleting all my brownie points
