  1. It will with us! Indeed I agree, this seems to be the case. I had one on extended test for a customer who requested the model run in before he collected, 30 mins in each direction. We found it to be on par (if not better) than the latest Hornby toolings. Also, the first loco in a little while with zero rejects at our pre-despatch testing stage - that's commendable, whichever manufacturer the loco originates from.
  2. Sorry for the late reply! We are indeed, the shop itself is open until around 3pm! If you have an enquiry or order outstanding from the Christmas period our aim is to sort it today, we do have quite a backlog though so please bear with us.

  4. Just ring and speak to one of the other guys, they'll tell you that I spend my day talking and doing no work at all.... So yep, no clones...
  5. We've been giving these a quick test since they arrived yesterday, they're a good idea and they work well. With 28 sounds it's relatively comprehensive and unlike some other TTS decoder fitted items, this one will play multiple sounds at the same time. They're going down well with the children who have basic DCC but struggle to afford sound, fitting 20 loco's (even with TTS) can cost quite a lot of money. I imagine they could be be quite 'customisable' should Hornby wish to go down that route. For example Train-Tech are just releasing their 'record your own sound and play it back via DCC control' system (SR1 Sound Track recorder - I saw it and Warley and I thought it was pretty cool actually) and somehow if Hornby made a software that meant you could record your own sounds to load into the van (via a computer program maybe) I think that would add another aspect to this.
  6. Please excuse me if this has already been mentioned elsewhere, but communication was received last night that the first model, R3634 Sir Francis Drake, is due for release next week!
  7. A good day wandering the aisles of Warley yesterday. Was good to catchup with customers, friends and suppliers alike! Back to the axe-grind today....

  9. Yeah sorry about that - slight stock error with our website issues this week that's now been rectified. Your order left today I believe. Thanks for your understanding.
  10. Our website is down....again...

It's kinda working, kinda not. And we can't access the admin panel! I'd love to go back to paper catalogues, although the way I'm going I'm sure I could generate a database fault on that too...

  11. After finding and breaking out and old catalogue, they are as follows: - R4750 - TGS - R4751 - TSO - R4751A - TSO (alternate running no.) - R4752 - FO - R4753 - Buffet (as you have already purchased) We don't have stock, but I hope you're able to find them!
  12. Indeed! Ours are being delivered this morning and we be sending them straight out today.
  13. Just so everyone knows, the second run of R3555 'Sir William Stanier' is arriving into stock today with us! It'll be at your local shop soon too!
  14. Thank-you to all that attended over the weekend! It was the first show organised by Simon and I with help from the club, and apart from the odd hiccup (expected for a couple of novices...) it went really well. Special thanks to the Blowers Green guys who were opposite our stand for giving me plenty to watch when it went a little quiet! I'm still trying to sell RobD2 that Dapol 08, don't worry! The show is booked for the same weekend next year (28th & 29th September 2019) on the same times at the same place, so we hope to see you all then! Cheers!
  15. Thanks Alastair. Just as an update to you all, we're now back up and running! Kind of. We have now got orders and customer account creation back online and working so you can place orders again now. The contact us page and the returns page are out of use completely now, so please use the email address on our homepage for both of these actions. We have had a new website on it's way for the past couple of months now and on the back of this we're pulling our schedule forward and hope it'll be up and running within the next week or so. Thanks for your understanding.
  16. The first of our stock arrived today. Unfortunately our allocation has been spilt, with the remainder due 19th October - so if you're not getting your pre-order right now then that's the reason why, as we're not the only retailer that has been split.
  17. Our website is currently down and will be for the next 12 hours. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Good luck, hope it gets fixed promptly!

  18. Hi all. Just a quick post from me. Firstly thanks for all of the good comments recently! Much appreciated! Secondly, anyone that has been on our site today may have noticed some issues. Unfortunately things aren't looking good, the stock information is correct but it won't let orders be placed. The site was created for 99p by me at age 12 in my bedroom, it's had issues for a while now but chose today as it's day to basically implode. Handy! We've had technicians working through the day but the 'quick fix' to get things working again failed miserably and now it's almost getting worse by the minute. We are still taking orders via the telephone and via email, but unfortunately online orders are out of action for the next 12 hours at least. I'll provide updates when we're back online again. For those of you with pre-orders being despatched today (first batch of R3615 Pecketts mainly) then do not worry, our ordering system is not compromised and things have been despatched as planned! Many thanks for your understanding.
  19. Oh! Oh well, at least there's two sources saying the same thing. At least we know we'll be seeing them soon.
  20. Just been told by Hornby that the date the container is due to be arriving with them is...tomorrow! So hopefully they should be arriving by the end of this week, all being well.
  21. We're going to honour prices, as that's how I read the letter. So if you've ordered with us before we put the prices up, don't worry, it'll be the lower price.
  22. It was confirmed to me this morning that the SR Olive Green and LBSCR Brown would be arriving mid-October.
