  1. Latest Mk.3 formations I have are Unrefurbished passenger sets, most still in FGW dynamic lines blue, a few have lost the stripes, those in GWR green are highlighted. Both can appear on the unrefurbished sets but only the ScotRail ones can be used on the refurbished sets.
  2. If I recall correctly, decorated samples are due quite soon.
  3. PFAs run to Berkeley pretty much every week, also Dungeness occasionally and the very irregular Southminster workings.
  4. They're in temporary store, Hornsey is full until such time as the 717s get into service and the 313s can be moved away.
  5. For anyone looking for info on the operation of the various FEA batches, there's some prototype notes now available at http://www.hattons.co.uk/NewsDetail.aspx?id=485
  6. DM - Driving Motor, so yes power car TC - Trailer Composite, 46001-18 series, converted in 2014/15 from Trailer First TSD - Trailer Standard Disabled, those fitted with a large accessible toilet
  7. Best bet would be to get the Platform 5 Locomotives & Coaching Stock pocket book for 1990 and 1991. Several on ebay at the moment.
  8. The TGS is an HST vehicle, one would be found next to the country end power car of all GWR sets.
  9. Worth mentioning that the Mk.5s are making their first visit to Fort William overnight, 73970 and 6 empties currently on the way. Come back in daylight tomorrow.
  10. 66701 was repainted in December 2014 but kept the original style of GBRf livery. Main livery tweak looks to be adding the GB Railfreight lettering on the cabs, which Railtec does. However, it now has the two-piece cabside windows not the three piece as per the Bachman model.
  11. It was 800001 and 800002 that received new catering cars of the correct configuration at Doncaster. Their original vehicles then went to Newton Aycliffe to be formed into 800311 and 800312, which delayed their release. The new cars took the numbers of the old ones.
  12. It's one of the recently converted ex GLV translator coaches, 68501 or 68504. http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrisperkins/45263514995
  13. Don't think it sees much rail traffic these days. Last workings of note were JPA cement tanks from Oxwellmains for repairs in late 2017 with Colas power, eg http://www.flickr.com/photos/scottdarg/38505478016
  14. The PRAs were resprung from leaf to parabolic in 1987/88. As for chassis colour, as far as I could tell when helping Kernow with their research, 6313-16 were the black ones - these were built a little later.
  15. 68007 was working 1Z21 05:45 Newport-Chaddesden Sidings, Derby - first leg of the tour. Then tailed 1Z22 10:40 Chaddesden-Blackburn with 37218/409 leading, where all three were replaced by 57307 and 88003 for trip to Blackpool North. Set was Riviera's blue/grey rake with all blue Mk.2b generator/staff coach 17105.
  16. 26008 still available new from Hattons at £110.46 http://www.hattons.co.uk/308300/Heljan_2655_Class_26_0_26008_in_BR_railfreight_coal_sector_grey/StockDetail.aspx
  17. Platform 5 sometimes tried to predict a repaint if the loco was in works when they were going to print and didn't always guess right. One of the most obvious being when 73101 was listed in EWS one year when it went to Toton and came out in a fresh coat of Pullman.
  18. There were 18 - 37401/02/04/05/06/07/09/10/15/16/17/19/20/23/24/26/30/31 37402 was only Oor Wullie in this livery.
  19. John, its an FKA https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/ewsmegafretfka
  20. There was also 910265 in all over black (including ends) with Metals logos.
  21. Snow King at Buxton http://www.flickr.com/photos/blue-diesels/42813926832
  22. The first ex GWR set was due to move north this week but was failed at Laira on Monday with an AWS defect on 43165. Last heard to be awaiting repairs.
  23. It will be modelled as now with new nose tooling for the headlight.
  24. A typical formation by then would be Mk.1 TSO x3, CK, TSO x3, CK, TSO x2, BSK, all in NSE. Motive power typically 85/0 or 86/2. 86401 was actually rarely seen on the workings.
