  1. I'm sure Rails will do so at the appropriate time. I don't know what the time will be but I know it's Thurs.
  2. Yes, there's continuity and succession at the coalface through several regimes but we are yet to see management evolutions - that's what changes in each cycle.
  3. Keep your eyes peeled for this on Thursday.
  4. A grade 2 listing protected pole? https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1406777
  5. Starting to smell like a wishlist again! Even though I got something I was looking forward to. Still waiting for an 88DS though.
  6. Strange, when I raised this with Hornby a while after release I was told it wasn't an issue and they hadn't had any other instances/returns. 😎
  7. That went well... https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/feb/15/hornby-boss-richard-ames-quits-third-profit-warning-five-months
  8. He's given them a free swing before. 😁
  9. That's good news here, RM are great here but where we last lived, less than 10 miles away they were truly awful. They often didn't bother bringing parcels, just the notification cards - caught them red-handed numerous times. Had to go to the sorting office (which had very long queues as they obviously didn't just pick on us) twice a week, whilst here we've not had to go to the sorting office in over five years.
  10. Press release issued by Simon Kohler... PRESS RELEASE Embargoed 12.01am 27 th May Not so new beginnings for Hornby veteran! Simon Kohler goes it alone once more. After the surprising and unexpected departure from Hornby, Simon Kohler has once again gone solo, reopening his models & hobbies consultancy business which he mothballed when he was called back to Hornby in 2017 to help reverse the company’s fortunes. When asked, Simon declined to give any reasons why he had left Hornby but did say, ‘ I was called back to Hornby to do a job which I have done with the help of both Lyndon Davies, Tim Mulhall and all at Hornby, both new and old’. Dismissing any rumours of retiring, Simon continued ‘Nothing ever stays the same and I always said that if I began not to enjoy what I was doing then it would be time for me to leave, although I had no idea that others had their own ideas for my early departure from Hornby!’ Asked if he would miss Hornby, Simon replied ‘Yes of course I will’ explained Simon, ‘It has been my life for well over 40 years and I care for the people who make up the beating heart of Hornby. However, for me it is once again a new beginning and a chance to work outside of the Hornby bubble and put my experience and knowledge to good use through my KohlerComs consultancy business.’ The services that Simon can offer will include product development, copy writing, catalogue creation, pack design, plus marketing as well as market research. ‘Exciting times’ said Simon. ‘I am genuinely looking forward to new challenges, new experiences and new clients. Onwards and upwards!’
  11. I'll do it in the week when I am back on the PC.
  12. Absolutely. If you see any Facebook posts about Siphons people have received you'll find comments where customers haven't had their 37s crying (that haven't even landed yet). Fulfillment doesn't work on the basis of who's tossing their teddies furthest.
  13. If they had to wait for every version to be there before starting to fulfill orders, strictly in the order that orders were made and/or paid for, they would probably have barely got started with despatching anything. In the meantime they've got on with sending complete orders to who they can. That's why you and I don't work in logistics.
  14. Please keep personal correspondences to yourself. You should be aware that Jerry is busy with a show this weekend, I'm busy too and not going to spend it babysitting your outbursts.
  15. I need to check as the system says your renewal was due on 25 May but I can't see if there was a transaction at the mo. Will have to get it looked into on Tues.
  16. Not from my point of view at least. The memes are just a bit of levity whilst I wait, patiently.
  17. I have raised the issue. It's a poorly worded renewal notification. No action should be needed if you have renewed.
  18. There should be an option to 'Hide' it Phil from the Edit menu.
  19. He's not racist; just sensible. 😃
  20. A good source for insulators (and lovely poles). https://www.expressmodels.co.uk/catalogue/4mm-scale-hand-made-telegraph-poles
  21. I see so many get mugged on Facebook Marketplace and so many scammers that Meta do not act upon. At least they were cracked down on here within minutes of being made aware.
