  1. I never saw anyone riding in a Shark to site and remember trains marshalled with a Shark inside the train brake van; also it was common to have a brake van at each end so as to facilitate a easy return to the the yard when locomotives were cascaded during the work!
  2. Not every summer night was warm a fire to keep out the cold especially as some vans were rather draughty!

  15. Nothing new the A1 upgrade north of Dishforth was cancelled and the property sold that had been purchased for all of it to be repurchased when it was eventually given approval!

  20. Neutral is a term I would use for almost every transaction I make , I just can’t get excited about buying things! Positive seems excessive to me rather like many supermarket online surveys of which you can’t answer half the questions because you only bought what you needed!

  22. How about the authentic experience of sending them to the station entrance for a rail replacement bus!
