From the Channel Islands, VAT starts at £0. £15 from other non-EU places

As has been said you should not have been charged anything as the combined value of goods and shipping is below the £15 threshold. Use the contact number on the charge label to claim it back pronto!

I find it quite ridiculous that in 2016 we still don't have electronic voting. If nothing else we'd all know the result by 2230 rather than the morning after.

Electronic voting?? . the systems could not cope -- if we can shut things down when lots of people are just trying to access sites simultaneously. Think of all those pundits and TV "experts" losing those lucrative all-night payments.

Electronic voting is trivially easy to rig, at least with humans counting bits of paper you have to work at it
