  1. I also sent them an email a while back but have yet to have a reply, just wonder what is going on.
  2. What a great picture ! just shows how we used to live before this sanitized so called society we live in where the state introduced such a thing as elf & safety in an effort to protect life, we just knew the risks in the past and just got on with it if something happened there was no great debate about it.
  3. Have noticed a similar savings over the last 12 moths since we have had the E-Niro and at 80% charge am getting an estimated range of 280 miles which seems fairly accurate. At this time of year if I charge to 100% it gives a range of in excess of 340 miles, must be down to the way I drive it.
  4. Who knows what those in the Govt/Whitehall are thinking just enjoy the benefits as they are now ! it will change at some point in the future of that there is no doubt but I would consider that there will have to be many more electric vehicles on the road and in use before it does change and then maybe it will be a gradual charging structure.
  5. Reminds me of the old Marty Fieldman sketch (BBC TV) , probably upset the politically correct brigade to repeat on air these days. comedy far better in days gone by people just laughed and took it for what it was, just a bit of fun !
  6. Maybe of interest to you but have you downloaded the instructions for this sound file from Digitrains, it may help with the CVs. I note that the volume CVs go from CV517 to CV692 with function Overall Volume up and being on F keys 27/28 respectively Paul Chetter who wrote the files may be able to further put you straight as it was he who wrote the files etc. good luck
  7. But the website said 9th of June which just happens to be 4 weeks from the release date of copy No 300. My subscription copy arrived on Monday the 6th of June.
  8. But then there are those that live by the mantra " i'll do what I want, when I want and how I want" and only go by the rules when it is to my advantage!
  9. The same can be said for electric cars, they do have artificial engine sound of which a similar system could no doubt be used with electric bikes.
  10. The Midland spinner sounds good, I'd go for one of them.
  11. Good to have you back and thanks for all your hard work in doing so!
  12. With that I will not disagree. I have sat nav built into the current car but don't use it as I much prefer to look at a map before when travelling to an unfamiliar location.
  13. But for cars fitted with Sat Navs that shouldnt be a real problem as the GPS would/should identify when they are near/approaching a potential place in which to change direction whether or not it is a junction or just turning off the road.
  14. If there was a GREEN SYP (1962-1968) version available I would have ordered one by now, sadly not to be.
  15. An interesting mix with one clear omission ! what about GREEN small yellow panel with Lion on wheel crest?
  16. What I find interesting is the Ruston & Hornsby and its load in the background just above the Sentinel !
  17. Begining to be a delivery date that looks like a bit of fiction they've been that long in comming!
  18. Isnt the Hornby Peckett No 11 and the one in the picture looks like No77 !
  19. Including front fog lamps which some drivers use as a fashion accessory or because they cannot see beyond the range of them which means a visit to an optician is required as if they need these lights on as reading a number plate at the required distance is something they cannot do !
  20. Wasn't there also a local operator in the area based in Baslow ( Hulleys)
  21. For those that can remember back to the 1960s think it was the then meccano magazine ran a series of article on the conversion of the Airfix City of Truro kit into Dukedogs/Bulldogs etc.
  22. Are you surprised Parcel delivery firms don't know the meaning of the word " Fragile"
