  1. I have seen it all now, an advert just flashed up on another site advertising workshops for parents to sign up their six to eleven year olds up for to train how to become successful YouTubers...

    I despair...

Down mine at 16? Luxury, luxury, where I were we went down mine at 8 years old, worked 35 hours a day down pit, had handfull of gravel for meal, etc etc.  Tell these Youtube Influencer kids that and they won't believe you - (mind you I don't believe them either)  🙂

  3. I’m looking at a thread on RMWeb, my first visit to the forum in a long long time. Likely to be my last if I cant figure out how to get rid of the annoying video continuously playing in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Please please can someone tell me how to switch it off.

I've had same problem, weird ad (always the same one) appears on tablet, makes site impossible to read, but not on laptop or phone. I just look at RMweb on one of the last 2.  Tablet is  fine with any other web page, so looks like whoever this company is is deliberately targeting RMweb.

There was a gag a while ago about David Cameron's "Big Society" idea, when there were many austerity cut backs going on.

      Q.  What is the difference between big society Cluedo and regular Cluedo?

      A.  They are the same except big society Cluedo doesn't have a library.

As long as the person is a refuse collector or has a large skip in their garden about to be taken away, you'll be ok.

  8. At what point do you feel you are, perhaps, taking your hobby too seriously?  Is it when you find yourself drilling microscopic holes in the back of a 4mm scale shed door in which to insert coat pegs, or when you find yourself re-drilling those holes on the slant because you've recalled that coat pegs are usually tilted up slightly?

Have total admiration for all of you in the medical front line and appreciate the extreme pressures you are under.  Your skills are 100% needed now. But enjoy the modelling when you can!

Or hit the knuckle of the middle finger of your right hand against a very sharp table edge, causing a surprising amount of blood to fly everywhere.   While modelling.  Just saying.

  16. So, I build a kit where the sprues are grey, and then prime the kit, in sprue grey, and then paint it in sprue grey. I must be missing something here.

    1. railroadbill

      railroadbill

      Good one, Stationmaster!

Obviously what is missing is a tin of sprue grey paint by a different manufacturer which will of course be a slightly different colour.
