  1. A web site I used to order things from for my wife now has a rather intriguing section "Ladies End of Range " ?? Dennis
  2. What does "RARE" mean in the EBay dictionary ? Dennis
  3. When this forum uses "smellovision" no doubt you'll be absolutely happy. Dennis
  4. Ian, You cannot help the way you are made, any more than you can help which colour hair you were born with. Unfortunately there are those in the community who are absolutely incapable of recognising that their perception is not the same as others have. Dennis
  5. At the time of this posting, there were alleged to be 17 people "watching". Dennis
  6. Three sunny days, but not one bu''erfly. Has someone nicked ours ? s
  7. I do like particularly that Double Fairlie. Not Really my scale, but then its the quality of the modelling that counts, not the scale, and there's plenty of excellent modelling on this thread. Dennis
  8. I am finishing my kits, so sticking to MY New Year resolution. Just finished Walthers "Water Street Freight House". Next is the "Medusa Cement Company". Dennis
  9. Graham, No, it isn't at all, due sadly to domestic circumstances. It is in effect a copy of the coffee table layout that was in "Model Railroader2 in February or March 2014. There seem to be problems with my laptop cursor, so you may or may not see it at sometime in the future, depending whether I put a freakin hammer straight through it, or it takes a high level trip for 40ft down a concrete path. Dennis
  10. I'm blaming Alex and co. I got so absorbed in this a smell of burning alerted me that my dinner was overheating. Excellent piece of work, sir, Dennis
  11. On what I've seen so far Graham I do like this. I'm using 2 4x2 boards for a North American layout, but I do have a spare 4x2 board, which would be handy if I decide to take a leaf out of your book. (I do like the "crafty carpentry" turn of phrase). Dennis
  12. According to an article on the back of the "Daily Telegraph" this morning, long-tailed tits are now becoming extremely common. Dennis
  13. Will you please stop making the rest of us jealous ? I've never seen it in the flesh, but the photos look marvellous (drool, drool) Dennis
  14. I'd think about it, but the Skoda connection would put me off. Dennis
  15. Also having had a double stent and a pacemaker inserted, plus Type 2 diabetes, I can sympathise to a degree. I am not in any way in as bad condition as yourself, I can only offer you my profoundest sympathy and I hope, understanding. I hope that in 10 years time, we will all still be here, and have an electronic reunion, with Mallard (Phil) as master of ceremonies. One can dream, can't one ? Dennis
  16. I saw in our local branch of "The Works" the other day several copies of "Trains to the Trenches" or might have been "Tracks to the Trenches", if anyone is interested. Dennis
  17. So how do you re-gauge a horse ? The R(egauging) S(ociety) for P(ractical) C(aptive) A(nimals) ? On a more serious note, would any one want to ride on these trains/trams apart from tourists? Are they a viable economic proposition ? Dennis
  18. Anyone reminded of the "Paddington to Seagood" railway and book ? Dennis
  19. Obviously a grave error ! I'll get MY coat before someone else gets theirs ! Dennis
  20. They do mean sheep, and not women ? Dennis
  21. There may well be viewers on here who don't actually post but who are building "Big Bertha". Also adding to the stock of knowledge is also a useful attribute. NEVER assume that your efforts are wasted. Dennis
  22. But if you read carefully - Sainsbury's will probably move a lot (around an estimated 200)into their own stores, because so many of them are in close proximity. Also ordering on line @ £3.95 for delivery, is that so fearfully exorbitant ? Dennis
  23. That hair restorer works a treat - now who do we know who could do with it ??? Dennis
