    as finally given up tracklaying in the shed today. 38°C/100°F even that's a bit hot . Loves the dry heat but it's a bit on the humid side today.

    noted that Rail Minister Jo Johnson(!) travelled to Cornwall by air for a meeting about rail links. The question about this was persistently dodged. There's a surprise.

    is finding the shed a tad too hot today. !00 deg F in there. At least no track distortion having allowed rail expansion at one end of each baseboard!

    has left the shed after finishing a good bit of of the ballasting.. The 35°C heat sure helped the 'Klear' to set quickly

    so enjoyed 'Earth, One Amazing Day' a BBC/Chinese production with superb images, wonderful music and superbly narrated by Robert Redford. Get to see it if you can.

      Just caught the end, looked marvellous. I'll have to watch it properly on iPlayer tomorrow! If you want to record it, its being re-shown on BBC2 at 10AM on the 23rd.
