  1. They are an outfit I have used in the past for parts to refurbish a Roco X2700 railcar set.
  2. Try this site - they seem to have the 132744 in stock at the time of writing, and the 132743 out of stock.
  3. Ah, I went the other way and put the quick access toolbar at the top on the programs! I had the opportunity to use a windows 10 laptop provided by a security-conscious client, and was rather pleased to see just how many of the 'improvements' and 'features' could be removed from the standard MS Office applications. Accordingly I gave in and bought a windows 11 machine with Office 2021 included. It did take me a while though to eliminate (I think) the add-ons which store my stuff on the MS cloud. That's the trouble I have with needing to cater for clients - some insist that I use MS Office rather than Libre Office. My lad has found that Libre Office equivalents of Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Writer, Calc and Impress) operate perfectly well in his school MS Teams environment.
  4. So I was finkin, like, if they'res like anuvver fing like as irritatin like as basicleigh? (That's a rising inflexion at the end, but I've only got a ? to indicate it).
  5. The colossal increase in the electricity daily standing charge is presumably intended to still extract cash from folk who have installed their own solar panels (and other means of self-generation). This would catch out anyone whose installation is large enough such that their Feed-In Tariff benefit becomes offset by the standing charge price-gouge.
  6. A smattering in rural South Hampshire: Mottisfont & Dunbridge : The Mill Arms Ashurst (New Forest) : The New Forest Inn Beaulieu Road : The Drift Bursledon (a short walk away) : The Jolly Sailor (the 'Howard's Way' pub)
  7. If your smartphone can be persuaded to scan operators, then in the EE suite of operators you'll find EE themselves, BT mobile, PlusNet and ESN. (on my phone this shows up as operator '234 32'). ESN stands for Emergency Services Network. There is still some Airwave kicking around.
  8. There was a machine for doing that! (Diagram at 4 mins 47 secs).
  9. Do Hornby have legacy rights dating from their 'interpretation' of the Titfield Thunderbolt in their 60th Anniversary set? Does the 70th Anniversary marketing negate any such rights? What about the film stills on the 60th Anniversary box artwork - can Hornby re-use them?
  10. A supplementary to this - do you need a whole knee, or a half-knee replacement, and why the chosen choice?
  11. And of course, Geoff Marshall was there too...
  12. Is Michael Masi on the RB payroll?

    EBay madness

That they do. Eventually I'll dig it out and photograph it, then find the model details for @leopardml2341 to add to the Mazak rot list thread.

My lad has one of those A4s with that tender chassis problem - Merlin, in Green livery, in the Liliput box. Fortunately I removed the tender chassis from its body before any massive longitudinal stress occurred to break the tender ends. The example to which Esmedune linked has been photographed still in its box, so there may well be a broken tender body adjacent to the cab. The tender chassis of my son's loco has continued to distort, such that it has a severe sideways bend. Fortunately (again) I had removed the motor, wheels and gears, and taken measurements of the chassis, before all that occurred. Others of the Trix/Liliput A4s which have a different design of tender don't have that problem - my lad's Silver Link (in a Trix box) has a much better chassis design.
  15. Omicron Virus phishing email now doing the rounds - I've posted it in the 'Scams' thread.
  16. Hot on the heels of the Omicron virus: Yes, I've forwarded it to <report@phishing.gov.uk> and <cybersecurity@nhs.net> Take care!
  17. The change to the feedback system has not helped. It used to remember the vaious feedback left; on clicking in the text box and starting, autofill suggestions of my previous messages appeared. That disappeared when the system was 'improved' to allow more characters. There's an irony; now that everyone can write longer messages, fewer messages are left.
  18. Was Sir Humphrey Appleby involved in drafting this statement?
  19. As hank mentioned, it depends a lot on the wheelbases of what you intend to run - and on the models themselves. The general rule for Bemo HOm kit is minimum radius 330mm, and this is easily fine for many of their items. Some of the shorter stuff (ArosaBahn? some of the RhB guys will correct me if that should say Albula bahn) will easily fit on shorter radius. However some of the French railcars are rather long (both H0 and H0m, I'm thinking of the railcars operating in the Savoie Alps) so you'll have to select the stock to match your track. Depending on your era and setting, four-wheel stock may be suitable - what are you considering? All the Best - I look forward to reading about what you create. Dave
