  1. Exactly, probably pay for your one by selling the other once they come out - I however intend to keep both when I order them
  2. My prediction for the next collectors club model is J72 69023 in station pilot green, given that the new model is approaching and there is no station pilot version listed yet, plus given their history of supporting preservation I guess a donation from each model will go to 69023's owners NELPG
  3. From memory its not a well advertised show, its run by the museum - if you drive by it there is a Gresley A4 Mallard shaped board with the details on - as opposed to a club who need to generate revenue. One time I got expenses from there (at the museum curators insistence I might add) it was a council cheque. I think its 10-4:30 Saturday and 10-4 Sunday but can get details on Friday when I set up
  4. I was under the impression it wad the sleeper contract that suddenly allowed them to work on 89001, the question is now that work has gone what future does the badger have? As someone who donated towards the ACLG fund for this engine the idea of them selling it off would leave me wondering whether to ask for my money back (especially if they make a profit after all the work done) and whether any future campaigns should be supported
  5. Just for the record Farish are not slowing down N gauge development but announcing products later in the production development line. So instead of seeing photos of the real things in the catalogue we will see samples of the model, this means less time between announcement and delivery but only because the announcement is delayed. Chances are we will soon be back to the days of Dapol Vs Farish B1 and Voyager as they won't know what each other is planning
  6. DCC Supplies have posted on Facebook they have the 50's and the sound chips now, so they are starting to come to sound fit the 50's for those waiting for them
  7. Keep contacting them, I found this worked with TSB - they might have a complaints form on the website you can try citing "lack of communication" and if you have Facebook a few comments on posts of theirs won't go amiss
  8. I have done this show for 2 years now and will be back this year exhibiting again. There is some really good layouts on show, really worth the trip up the valleys for it. As Tony says small show but nice, local and friendly. Good food from the kitchen too
  9. Given the size of the numbers on the models anyway how many of us will actually see them especially when running? I bet a few go onto layouts with the number sheet untouched
  10. At the Dapol open day I asked this question and they said the decoders were getting programmed in house in Austria (Zimo? not sure who they are using) and due to leave the week after the open day so week commencing Monday 23rd Sept and it would be approx. 6 weeks after they were done
  11. Bachmann sent out an email on the 20th advising the website would be transferring to a new system, would be down from 23rd Sept till the 1st October. Might be overrunning work - waiting for a joke about Bachmann and delays on ETA's
  12. That's is exactly, there are people who will buy models because they are the first release of a new tooling, so they do the "less-popular" livery first.
  13. 049 Defiance was as well but it had a black roof
  14. Surely the opening and closing changed in that list would get lost, as posts are made to highlight a change others will then follow and be hard to keep track. Wouldn't a list on here also be in breach of GDPR as surely it would be the same?
  15. Which poses a question, as they are off the list and Bachmann will only honour warranties on purchases from approved retailers does that mean the 39 or so OO gauge diesels on stock brand new will not be covered and you will have to pay for any repairs?
  16. Not sure I agree with that as the Prince of Wales will have one style of front end whereas the Cock of the North will have the A4 style front, am sure Prince of Wales could carry both in time but for those who want the A4 style front at the moment this is your only chance to see it
  17. Not commented on this yet but as a fellow failed customer of DJ Models who might have different experiences which I will share. I entered into a claim back as I paid by debit card for 2 Kings, my problem was heightened by the fact that sicne the deposit was paid (August 2018) and DJ Models folding (June 2019) I switched banks from TSB to Halifax purely because Halifax offered cash to switch. As my dispute was with a charge on my TSB account I phoned them and explained the situation, they told me to email some details which I did - they accepted the details and contacted his bank who had 35 days to respond. I kept chasing during this period to make sure it was not forgotten about and chased more after the deadline, last week I was told by email my case was found in my favour so I am now awaiting on the switchers team sending the money over - but they didn't say when it would be transferred. So if you have switched banks since the demise don't be afraid to contact your old bank as they do seem to help
  18. Not really odd, the OO model was a new chassis (not sure if it was a new chassis or full body as well) that required investment to produce, whereas the N gauge model was already made so they are just making use of tooling they have ready to go
  19. Yes it was, I am making a daily stop at Lisvane to see it come through on my way to work and it was a pair of 143's this morning. Not sure when things will go back to normal - I did hope 37025 would have worked the train this morning
  20. December as they are not going to be compliant with the new disabled regulations
  21. I Think revolution's are going to bankrupt me here, my N Gauge layout is a GWR era junction station so that's 2 I need, I like them in BR Black so that's a possibility to buy. Of the 3 BR Green's one was shedded at Treherbert so would have come through where I live and the other 2 I have found photo's at Treherbert - so that's all 6 I want/need. That and the Mk 5's I could easily spend £1,000 - totally worth it though
  22. Always going to happen, one model slipping at the start will have a domino effect on the models behind it
  23. Presumably if they have sorted the issue out - and the numbers coming in sugeets they have - stock will be sent gradually. I cant see Bachmann flooding Hattons with everything - they won't have space for it all at once. Don't forget then Hattons have to sort through the order, check the delivery matches the paperwork, photograph any new models since the stand off and upload to the website. They won't have a lot of people to do this. Chances are they are doing the more popular OO gauge first before they get to the N gauge which doesn't sell as fast
  24. Edward Farms £135 for 2 N Gauge Kings
  25. For those who are not on Facebook
