      I had a small party coming up, so I went to buy one of those balloons printed with "your message here". The shopkeeper told me it was £5 for the balloon, £10 for printing and £99 if I wanted it blown up with helium. I said that sounded expensive. He said "that's inflation for you".

      I suspect a lot of job applicants are even more fed up of having to include all these buzzwords, in the forlorn hope that HR might even allow their application forms to be seen by anyone involved in recruiting. Some hope!

      I detest all these meaningless HR/recruitment buzzwords - all that matters is can you do the job and will you fit in with your colleagues. I would not recruit someone who listed their "core competences" as such

      This morning, Glenfinnan is dry but windy and overcast.

      At present the camera is doing slow pans across the landscape.

       

      And by the morning of the 28th, the railcam had failed completely.  It must have been all that wind and rain...

      BT deserve a lot of the flack they get, we are just between Birmingham and Coventry and while with BT the internet would drop out for days at a tim, ring support to let them know etc chocolate teapots they were!
