  1. A good collection of photographs.
  2. I make it five trap points needed. Also are you going to include facing point locks in your signalling scheme? Gordon A
  3. I enjoyed your preview issue. What would the largest area by scale that you would consider acceptable as a micro layout? Gordon A
  4. Tim Horn base boards. Contact using: timhornlasercut@gmail.com Gordon
  5. I have a number of these purchased on special offer from Aldi / Lidl, now available from Screwfix at £24.99. The legs close up and the top is adjustable.
  6. If your local library is still acting as a proper library you can make a request for them to borrow a book from another library for you to borrow. Gordon A
  7. You need to do something about the fresh air under the cab and behind the front buffer beam.
  8. On the same day as the Bristol docks pictures I ended up having a mooch around Sharpness docks. Disused track over the docks swing bridge. Lines from the Sharpness line crossing the road to join the docks railway. Gordon A
  9. In Bristol docks area behind the Bristol Marina And a Banksy Gordon A Bristol
  10. How long did the narrow gauge lines last on top of the loading dock?
  11. In this type of layout there would not be any ground or any other type of signal. Gordon A
  12. What a lovely looking beast. When will be her first public steaming? Gordon A
  13. I would have thought with an express passenger train not time tabled to stop in the area of Box B, that as soon as practical Box B has accepted the the express he would immediately bell Box C asking if he can accept the said passenger train. That would give Box B time to come up with plan b if Box C cannot accept the express. Gordon A
  14. You can replace the levers with etched hand wheels from Wizard models.
  15. The handles on the Bachman well wagon are the operating levers for the hand brakes.
  16. High Level kits also sell motor bogies: Unfortunately the link will not allow me to copy and paste. Gordon A
  17. I would say in the first picture the well wagon is of GWR design going by the sloped connection between the platform and the well, and the plate bogies. The well wagon in the second picture the well wagon could be of LMS origin similar to a wagon produced by Triang. Gordon A
  18. Why not just cut the axles to length with a piercing saw? Measure the overall width of the wheels when they are placed either side of a 00 back to back gauge. Gordon A
  19. Look up the ISBN and request the book through your local library. Gordon A
  20. Use a slitting disc in a mini drill. Preferable with a flexible drive. Cut through the rails on the removed piece of track's side of the track joint. You can then remove the piece of track either with a big chisel, but first try softening the glue with meths, depending on what glue you used. Gordon A
  21. A build up of muck on the commutator? I have recently taken a Bachman can motor apart because it stopped running which involved removing the plastic end. This brought to light that the commutator was black. Gentle cleaning with IPA followed by a final polish with a soft fibreglass brush resulted in a smooth running motor when reassembled. Gordon A
  22. It was on here. My personal e-mail is ga007d9065@blueyonder.co.uk if it would be easier to to go for direct contact? Gordon
  23. The 4 horns on the corners are I think mud hole doors that enable the water space around the firebox to be washed out.
