  1. I would also like a kit / set of etches please. Gordon Ashton Bristol
  2. As far as I am aware all 20th century locos have two injectors, even small industrials. It is a case of safety not redundancy. If you only have one means of putting cold water into your boiler which plays up / does not work you are up the creek without a paddle. You can only proceed as far as the water remaining in the boiler will last while still covering the crown of the boiler. Gordon A
  3. The Airfix kit does will need a lot of work to match the Minehead turn table, but less to make the Birmingham Snowhill turntable which was built by Ransomes & Rapier. There are five pictures of this turntable on Warwickshirerailways.com. I cannot copy and paste a link unfortunately.
  4. IIRC the Airfix turntable side girders consist of a series of flat surfaces, not the smooth curve of the GWR types. To model a DWR type you will need to scratch build the side girders using one the drawing posted by Tony Cane above. I am not aware of what turntable the Airfix kit was based on, same as the Airfix dock crane. Gordon A

  13. Before Alan G sold the business on the MMRG returned a bag of P4 wagon wheels to AG as the pinpoints on the end of the axles were off centre. Since Collin took over I have not had any problems with his P4 wheels. Gordon A
  14. Thank you chaps for the replies. As Phil has got problems with his premises I will be patient. I always get twitchy when a UK supplier has my money for going on twenty days and I have not heard anything. Gordon A
  15. Does anyone know if there are any problems from C&L? I placed an order on the 29/01/2021 and paid for it on the 04/02/2021. I tried telephoning today and the answer phone said it was full. I sent an e-mail to day but so far no reply. Gordon A
  16. Very sad news. He will be sorely missed. He always managed to put on a show that I considered worth visiting.
  17. Nothing serious I hope? Gordon A
  18. Have you tried the point motors before fitting to the base board?
  19. You could manufacture your own using 3mm i/d brass tube.
