    Clevedon Debut

Hopefully not too many shows Andrew for the coming year! Other priorities? Hope to be down on the 12th to see the layout.
  2. Christmas day, hinge broke on cooker! Today, 15 minutes work on lathe, new hinge, cooker fixed, lots of Brownie points!

Lots of brownie points could have been gained if the repair had been effected on christmas day

Good stuff, Tim. For me, another 'obligatory' railway-related TV programme was 'The Signalman' by Charles Dickens, starring Denholm Elliot

      Cheers Tim, happy Christmas!

  5. The survival of equipment at Festiniog station was remarkable, I first saw the derelict station in the mid 70s, then in the 80s. When I last went there in the 90s, the fouling bar on the (removed) Up facing point was still there. Virtually everything else had gone.
  6. To back up others, that is too big for a lamp hut, it is a lock up. I have a feeling the standard lamp hut is below the deminimus limit for the OS, i.e. it was too small for them to bother surveying.
  7. All of life is on RMweb!

  10. I was saying to Captain Kernow only the other day "there are other railways than the S&D", he wouldn't listen....

There may well be other railways, but they are not S&D railways.

  11. The church is possibly yes, but not the Bank of England and Norwich union building, surely?

  14. Quite a natty little miller there, I don't recognise the make, what is it? Need to fix it down of course, probably best after decorating the cellar....
  15. The building round Mary-le-Port church was still derelict, but intact today...
  16. With the 1.7 engine? Now apparently that was fast (for the time).....
