  1. We’ve all been crying out for wagons for these locos and following the recent announcement of the JHA Hoppers we’ll have wagons but no loco’s !!
  2. There are four Outer wagons to be manufactured. But the worry is they all have the DCC fitted option, suggesting they will all be pre-fitted with lamps. Need to raise this on the Dapol forum...
  3. I managed to catch this yesterday, and very nice it looks too:-
  4. I notice the Outer Wagons also come DCC ready with flashing tail lamps !!!
  5. Anybody successfully applied the wheel transfers, I found it extremely tricky...but it's probably just me
  6. I see, but I wouldn't think the production programme would affect the manufacture of tools for a new product, it would be a bought out item from a tool maker.
  7. Have I missed something, do you mean a Class 90 commissioned Limited Edition ? Or all these 'Sheds'
  8. Is it second hand or new ? If it's new, return it to the seller. It certainly sounds like the gears are grinding. Have you run it in ? If it was mine I wouldn't be running it ? You can unclip the bottom bogie covers on each end with a small blade or flat screwdriver, be very carefull not to snap them. The cover should come away leaving the wheel sets exposed. If you need to drop the bogies out, you need to remove the body by taking out the four screws underneath the chassis, a long small cross head is required, once the body is off you'll need to drop the bogies, But first unfurl the wires going into the holes to give them some slack to allow the bogies to drop. Good luck.
  9. Mine was collected on the 15th, but Hornby never said it would be a week. I guess the first issue is how quick DPD dropped the package off. I’m very interested to hear a success story without it being a bodge of filing bogies and or body sides...
  10. Anybody had any feedback from their supplier or Hornby? Mine derails, the bogie appears to lock and jumps as it tries to straighten out.
  11. Number one end six is the one you mention... https://www.flickr.com/photos/16645820@N06/25051100927/in/dateposted-public/
  12. Running tonight (1Q90) Derby to Ferme Park tnt with 37421.
  13. Interesting to see they are still available, especially with all the panic about getting hold of them, certainly not sold like the AMRSS Class 158....
  14. Have I missed an email, still showing out of stock ?
  15. Perhaps I should have sent you a pm. You’ve been pipped at the post.
  16. Somebody already posted the answer.... Probably a washer to raise the body
  17. Have to agree when I saw the prototype I thought that would make a good model, and it certainly has
  18. Look here.... http://www.dccsupplies.com/search/results/?search=Wiper
  19. Has the bogie been assembled the right way round I wonder?
  20. Some very good points, always a gamble, even with well known faults the 68s sold out pretty quick, and they rectified the issue not only by replacing the bodies on the first run but the second run was spot on. I think the Class 88 is a little different in terms of an issue with the lack of livery variation which is a bit restrictive, I’m sure when a new loco is launched it is always a risk. On a positive with this being duel mode running it will fit in on any layout and look correct with the panto down unlike previous electric release which don’t appear to sell well. I think it’s great that Dapol release so many numbered variants but they also have to be wary not to flood the market which I think this second batch of 68s has. I’m sure we’ll have an announcement in the near future and I wouldn’t be surprised if Dapol take the plunge as they seem to be leading the way in modern image locos and wagon releases by a long way.
