  1. Great show today at Perth Green, got there around lunchtime and had a good meander about taking in the fantastic layouts on show. Stocked up on some bits & pieces to get my own effort moving in the right direction. A friendly show that I will be back to next year Karl

  8. Neil, I think the highways inspector will do you for not following section 74 of the NRSWA. Pedestrian & traffic management is seriously lacking on today’s standards Karl
  9. Duncan, it takes a while for the word to get around that there is a new ‘Restuarant’ on the block, but perseverance will pay off. Karl

  13. Good morning all, A week of railway related travel concludes today, on Monday I travelled from Durham to Reading (via London as I can’t stand that long a direct journey on a voyager), then back again on Tuesday. Wednesday was a trip to Manchester with TPE and then home yesterday. Today, continuing the railway theme, we are off to Keswick Country House Hotel, the old station hotel for a Christmas catch up with friends. A break from work until the 2nd Jan, when hopefully the new layout will have seen plenty of my time. Have a good one Karl
  14. Morning Chaps & Chappesses Yesterdays course was an absolute eye opener, I'll be getting the team leaders to attend the course also. I'd recommend it to anyone who manages people http://www.sja.org.uk/sja/training-courses/mental-health-first-aid/mhfa-champion.aspx?gclid=Cj0KCQiA3b3gBRDAARIsAL6D-N-ucOpdQvpdDk7HzLlfsPbXrAINwSgheML9pmy8ELF-RJkuqMg77DQaAmJ3EALw_wcB I am again up early on the 0612 from Durham to the smoke for meetings with my clients client about their plans to roll out 5G, then pie & licker, jellied eels, flat beer and other southern delicacies Have a great day Karl
  15. Morning all, A day away from the norm today, I am attending a mental health first aid course in Newcastle. I am a big advocate of looking after the well-being of my nationwide deployed team, and anything I can learn that means I can support them to do their job well whilst maintaining a work/life balance is all good news. Have a great day Karl
