  1. I've got access to the original photo in print and it is definetly green. The reproduction on the screenshot or scan used above has lightened the colour. The formation is very modellable. Out of shot the 4th coach is a very clean maroon Thompson SK followed by two blue and grey MK1's Regards Guy
  2. As above on pretty much every page this morning FYI. Screenshot attached. Android latest version . Regards Guy
  3. 33101 June 1982 - July 1984 ish? From a quick Flickr dive. Regards Guy
  4. That timber is currently more valuable than the Peugeot! Regards Guy
  5. Hi This banner is causing real issues and making reading impossible. For your info. Not premium. Android. Cheers Guy
  6. End of evening manoeuvres for the crews at Shackerstone this evening after a very spirited tandem run from Shenstone on the last train with D8110 and 33053. Cold, dark, LOUD and atmospheric. A nice end to the weekend.....with @South of 1E Regards Guy
  7. On the delayed return from Leyburn this morning, the crew of 37250 may be discussing why the booked D9523 chucked it's Teddy Bear out the pram. The class 14 however redeemed itself and provided a more than commendable return up t'hill with 5 MK2's in tow.
  8. That's 40024.......she worked a Derby-Weymouth to Bristol on 30th June, and then the 09.02 Paignton-Newcastle back from Bristol at least as far as York. John Wooley has photographed her at Derby on that date with this train (Flickr search) Sharing has been disabled on the photo so I can't link it, but a search on the loco and 1979 will bring it up. 40026 wasn't fitted with rad frost grills at this time which made me dive into the Internet! Regards. Guy
  9. And a very healthy 37227 at Princes Risboro' today for several runs. An exceptionally healthy example and driven well to boot. Bonus Clayton on the first run. Great day out. With @South of 1E Regards Guy
  10. J836. A lovely shot. 6 wheel Eastern Region BZ behind the loco and the usual ubiquitous SR vans as well. Timeless. Regards Guy
  11. Up close and personal with 37250 yesterday on one of three runs on the Wensleydale railway. Fabulous line, awesome scenery and, of course, some monstrous tractor thrash. With @South of 1E Regards Guy
  12. Blimey. I feel old. I made a tape cassette recording of '105 leaving Cardiff in May 1982 from standing with a very heavy train of TTA's. She was filthy then.......but what a sound. Happy days indeed! She looks splendid now! Regards Guy
  13. December Adex Cov-Newcastle......cue changing the toasty class 86 at Stockport for boiler isolated 45044. Needless to say there was a very common 47/4 waiting at York. We knew it was York as we could read the station name when we scraped the ice from the compartment windows :) Regards Guy
  14. https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:WHR_Garratt_143.jpg With reference to your WHR query, It's a former SAR Garrett. Had a few runs behind it and got some nice video! Regards Guy
  15. Looking at the toplights above the guards head in the brake end isn't it a Thompson or Gresley? (See photo 2 in the stream just above....same coach, Gresley bogies? Hard to tell with the fence in that photo) Regards Guy
  16. 20048 looking and sounding good on one of the two SVR diesel diagrams on a very hot Friday 17th June. Regards Guy
  17. Came as VEV, VWV and VMV variants as well. Lots of photos on Paul Bartlett's fantastic site of various variants......though I've never been sure of what exactly each moniker referred to other than vac braked 12t van! Regards Guy
  18. Wrong choice on this one, full stop. Load Haul was a fantastic livery for a 56 as was and would look great on that. I dislike the NSE ice cream van livery intensely. I admire the thought process mind. Kudos to that. The RTC livery is a nice touch. Regards Guy
  19. The junction was (possibly still is) covered by the storage unit/workshop of a timber supply company I seem to recall. Regards Guy
  20. The 68 looks very smart.......saw it in Marylebone yesterday and noted that it now sports name plates, but masked up. Any one any ideas? Had a quick look online but it threw nothing up. Regards Guy
  21. Head Shed 66742 Port Of Immingham and his little sister 73966 after an early arrival into Inverness on 1S25 22/02/22. A sterling run! With @South of 1E Regards Guy
  22. Discussing breakfast I would hope!.....after an early arrival on 1M16 from Inverness this morning into Euston.....taken by a very weary but appreciative passenger who was off to the Double Six for brekky as well. With @South of 1E Regards Guy
  23. Great period photos Nidge! Looks like one of the P3 period BSK's behind the loco in the first one. Regards Guy
