  1. TfW does operate services to Runcorn with the Chester to Liverpool service , I don't think there are any terminating trains though. Mike.
  2. As are the mineral wagons numbering and lettering! Mike.
  3. On the subject of undercoat, white or grey make a slight difference to the final look of the yellow coat, neither right or wrong, but compare them side by side, you may have a preference. Mike.
  4. As an awkward sod who models in EM and fits 3 link couplings I have to dismantle everything to some extent, and I'm finding, like yourself, more and more models, from various manufacturers, primarily wagons, that are glued into one homogenous lump to a greater or lesser degree. I'm sure there will be a Chinese year of the superglue soon! Mike.
  5. Very nice, but your 7mm platform paving slabs are a tad overscale! Mike.
  6. Being somewhat devils advocate here, and not wishing to make Darius' statements for him, but I'm enjoying the "naïvety" of the primarily MTK base feedstock and his superb ability to turn countless sows ears into silk purses. Mike.
  7. Of course, the best idea would be standardisation, #0PZ would be perfectly adequate for all body mounting screws. Bachmann have perfected the art of having the body mounting screw/NEM box screw mounted just sufficiently under the axle of a 4 wheeled wagon necessitating removal of the axle, which in some cases also requires the cutting of brake safety loops. Mike.
  8. As variable rivets are do-able, presumably these would be simple also? Mike.
  9. Because ebay knows you like a bargain! Mike.
  10. Everything comes to he who waits! Mike.
  11. I'm a diesel man myself, but, poor thing! Mike.
  12. I've done a search but couldn't find a mention, so apologies if it's out there somewhere. The legendary works closed down last week, a few staff have been retained until August to tidy out the place, but all production etc has now ceased, albeit the Sentinel works in Sheffield remains open. The local word is that the magnificent building is likely to be bulldozed in the fashion of most buildings owned locally by Morris Lubricants, that would would be a travesty IMHO. I always wondered if the BR Teddy Bear saga had have turned out differently would Sentinel have gone through the same upheavals? Mike.
  13. That's cheating, to keep the MTK vibe going you should be using the the door shut line/hinge transfers! Mike.
  14. A semi serious question, but haven't you got a "proper" layout to build?, I'm having trouble tying all this disparate stock to one location! Mike.
  15. I shall be over for this, but I feel you've missed the best part of the show, The Big Pink Double Deck Breakfast Bus! Mike.
  16. A sentiment you will never hear from The Gosser himself! Mike.
  17. I would have to agree, of course, especially after enjoying the hospitality of Shenstone Road and Hornsey Broadway this week! Mike.
  18. Don't forget the Hendo's. Mike.
  19. https://www.emgauge70s.co.uk/project_class-ultrasonic.html Via a Craftsman conversion kit I believe. Mike.
  20. Bachmann tampo printing generally scratches off with a fingernail, even if not it is easy to remove. Mike.
