Perhaps they should have stopped with Airfix two bob kits?

Mike.

I was wondering what having diarhia dioriah an upset stomach had to do with it and then realised the last word was kits with a 'K' and not 'bits' with a B.;)

Yes I know its spelt diarrhea.:P

Another one from rails. A Bachmann LMS Crab which apparently is a Mainline Rebuilt Scot Class.

I was going to say that not all sellers know exactly what they are selling but in this case that really isn't an excuse, as Rails should know exactly what it is.  ;)

Perhaps there is a clue to colour in the name - China Clay - as to colour and constituency?

In my youth, we used to visit my grandparents in Plympton. They lived opposite Tavistock Junction marshalling yard  :) separated by the Tory Brook, which used to run white! (cleaned up now).

There used to be a river running down to Pentewan that was actually called "White River"

Quite clearly it needed renaming and is now "St Austell River"

EDIT Looks like it was a local Nickname as it was St Austell River in 1907!

Am I missing something?

They seem quite reasonable prices for the items.

Overpriced is not unusual there is a load of Finecast chassis kits on at more than the new price from Finecast, especially when you compare the difference in postage costs!

The Claughton is a disaster, the valve gear is wrong and the paint looks like its been daubed on. Mind you all of the things listed by that seller are very expensive for what they are!

What is it about Thomas the Tank Engine?

If you stick a face on it, they will bid.

Fair play to the seller but to me it passeth all understanding.

I didn't think it was possible to make the old Triang Met Camm any less realistic, so fair play to the seller for achieving the impossible!

Starting bed seems reasonable; if someone wanted to do their own custom repaint this would be a good starting point.

WOAAAAAAHH. I did not see the foil glued to the bottom when I formed my initial opinion. What the actual duckery?

You all keep missing the R out of Gosturde!

....mind you those Gostude DRS 37* that are? (were) listed at eye popping prices years and years back seem  quite a bargain today.
