Are they special Indian colours, different from Rowney's

I believe they are known as Rowney Sahib on the sub continent.

Here we see an image from the Mumbai EM gauge society exhibition 2015 in which eminent modeller Rajit Tim Guptar Shackleton Singh suffered a slight setback whilst demonstrating the use of Humbrol weathering powders.

Well, I've decided to scrap the monorail idea and go back to a conventional two-rail system.

It was proving difficult to to engineer and taking far too long.

Further updates later.

Sorry to hear that, stubby, it was a brave effort at trying something really different. Shortage of time is the great enemy for us all. I'm sure what you come up with will be well worth lookin at. Hoping to get to Taunton and see it?

Stubbers. I don't like the seeds this thread is starting to sow in my already cluttered brain box......

These photos have truly intrigued me.....00 gauge Indian industrial railways......British saddle tanks in truly foreign climes....mmmmmmm

Raj.

What incredible photos!

Are these locos still there and working?

They were still there working in the early 1990s but haven't been reported since. . They are Robert Stephenson, Hawthorns built in 1943 for the Steel Corporation of Bengal. They are seen in these photos at Kulti Pipe Works of the Indian Iron & Steel Co in West Bengal.

They really did get me thinking. An interesting might have been for the new Hornby 0.4.0.st. A bit of free lance stock and a choice industrial backdrop.

This might happen at some point.

Well that's interesting.

I bought a 4x2 sheet of thin ply to form the baseboard skin, then found it wouldn't fit through the boot opening.

Well, obviously it will fit, but not horizontally or widthways.

So despite the boot being wide enough, the doorway isn't.

Bit of a re-think needed on loading logistics.

And yes, it's still a mono rail.

Or, it will be...

Some colour has been added. The hues are not as garish as in the photo..

The other side of the stream needs a bit more work on the house, castle wall and boatyard.
