How difficult can it be to wire up 2 flippin'wires ?

 

Yep, one of the reeds is faulty and is shorting out....

 

Update : little b*****d found and removed... on to the bridge

It turns out the loco only has two speeds - yep, off and warp 9.

 

Even on high resistance & half wave, it's going to cause whiplash.

 

Which means, of couse, it is ( partially) working - just not very smoothly.

The l/h side wheels on the loco chassis have a disc of plasticard which acts as an extra flange. They are cut to fit around the centre boss and pin, so as not to interfere with the con rod. 

 

In the brief trials this seems to work well.

 

Ok, so the challenges today are :

 

Fit  the magnets to the coach so they are in the mosf effective position

Finish the bridge

Add the return loop

Order 3 meals

Print identifying badges

Plus lots of other things...

Hi Stu,

 

I hate to break this to you but I feel it's only fair. This whole thing about the Patiala railway being monorail is just a myth. Everyone here has just been having you on. Here's the original of Burgundy's excellent photo to prove it. Hope you're not too upset., we've all been having a laugh.

Patiala State Monorail would like to apolgise to passengers for there delay. This is due to over-running engineering works................

'Apolgise'? Over Run Engineer? Where was the delay? Their? Whatever 'State' it's in I look forward to seeing it tomorrow. Keep at it Stubby!!!
