Do like the weathering. Interesting looking at the Bachmann and Lima 20s coupled together, how much better the Bachmann version is except for the windscreen wipers which look better on the Lima one.

I agree, I will be adding some Black Felt tip pen to the Bachmann Wipers to thin them out a little.

Back on track, :O  and the Goods loop has dried nicely, and so this morning, I've fitted the walling to the Loop Platform edge and ballasted the Branch Line.

Stopped for Lunch now, but working on the Goods Yard next

So, after falling asleep in the chair after lunch, very little got done,   but I have managed to put some 2mm  card around the Goods Yard so that there will be no ballast shoulder in the Goods Yard, and I can fill in up to Rail height. I still need to make an End Loading ramp for the Coal siding.

I miss a week and there are 84 pages to come back to!!!

Great to see further progress Andy - and then news that Glen Roy is for sale! Just checked it out on eBay - tempting, very tempting. That was a great layout.

Thanks Andy, and yes Glen Roy was a dream to operate at Shows and at home, seeing as it was designed to be operated from the front or the back, although at Shows I still operated it from the front so that I could talk to the paying public.

It's now creeping up to a realistic price tag, (£330.00 this morning).

Some pics from a super day out at the GCR with Jeff / Binny today.

It started with an Eat all you can Buffet Breakfast at the Railway Inn in Swad, then out to the GCR Loughborough for another coffee and then some pics and Video that I'll download later of Witherslack Hall and 9F, Leicester City running.

Here's some pics to start with.

And some Stock, they were also spray painting some more Vans down in the Yard at Quorn and Woodhouse, (where we had ANOTHER coffee in the Tea Rooms under the Bridge on the Platform).

Tempted to say they're even better than you at weathering. Would be interesting to pop back in a couple of weeks to see what they can do with those vans!

Hi Andy

Just been chatting to my mate on faceache and he was telling me about the loco he part owns. It only turns out to be the 37 you photoed today.

It was good to see the repaired Vans, painted in primer, and lined up past the Turn Table and being sprayed like a Car, the ones photographed look like they've been freshly done this week.

Also the Windcutter Rake of 16 T Minerals were freshly painted on one side, but not the side I photographed.

And very smart it looked too Clive, a real credit to it's restorers.

In Post #2135, Brushman47544 mentioned that the wipers on the Lima 20, looked better than the Bachmann version, so here are some pic / comparisons.

Bachmann.

Andy, I don't look at many (any!) threads these days, aside from posting on KL2.

You're doing a great job with this layout.

DON'T sell it or rip it up!!!!

Keep up the good work.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff, it won't be sold SOLD this month, :O  although I see Glen Roy has now gone over £400 on E-Bay, that's more than I sold it for more than 3 years ago,

so Andy Pandy Layouts are an investment, hhahah. :sungum:

Had a look at your Point rodding and ballasting on KL2 yesterday and it's looking superb mate.

And here's the short Video from the GCR today, only 2 Locos in steam I'm afraid, but still lots of action.

And the title should read 2017.

Great video - makes me feel like I am there instead of in France!

Interesting that the GCR and GWSR both have working Halls with Hawksworth tenders.  Where's the variety these days?

Another thing the two heritage railways have in common is the provision of fenced off photography areas at the end of the platform.  A good idea.

I can never tell one Tender from another, (bit like WC / BB Tenders) but it's the one that I like most, so that's O.K. in my book.

BACK IN FRANCE, don't you like the Cotswolds then Paul?
