Joins still to be touched up after the plastic has hardened.

And at last away from the walls and onto the roof. The original has a mix of roofing and the model follows this.

A few bits of fettling to do then a quick blast with some Harfords primer.

Glad you like it D. Although it will be 3' away from the front face of the layout, i think it should be good enough for some posed photos of a Spam Can or Beattie Well Tank in the back yard....

Hi Jonte

It's one method, I'm sure there are others but it seems to work on this building (takes ages though). I did buy a sheet of the vacuum formed brickwork from SEF - the one with lots of arches on - but Sod's law, none was even close to the radii I wanted. Typical!

All the best

Chris

As usual, some top notch plasticard bashing Chris.

Glad you managed to find your MEK (and a little time for some modelling too) :yahoo:

Cheers Mark

Found 4 empty bottles of Mek first - started pulling hair out and then remembered a bottle in the big tool box....

This building is going to be stunning on the layout, even if it is at the back of it :clapping_mini:

We've made 40k!

Thats fantastic.

I remain fascinated that people are interested in what we do.

Thank you all..........

Your modelling caught the public's imagination with Treneglos. This thread and the Wilde West thread have a lot of life, banter and useful insights into how things are done, how they are decided - and who eats the pies!

This is what I love about this hobby and building models with others. You think you know what is going to end up looking like - but actually you don't.

When good friends have spent immense amounts of time and turn up with such things - well its just magic.

The saying goes jack of all trades master of none, this layout proves when you get a group of people together that are happy to work in the different aspects of this hobby you can produce a stunning layout. the number of hits you have had is because everytime something is posted everyone wants to see what has been done or what has been said about said work. B)

Mmmm - is now a good time to mention that I'm thinking of cutting the roof off, lowering it and slackening the pitch????? Doesn't quite look right somehow.

Well actually I was going to mention that I had changed my mind.

I've been thinking about a row of shops instead....
