RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted October 14, 2012 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 14, 2012 5 Sleeps till Uckfield show set-up. Now where's all the layout? I've looked around my train room and there's lots of Treneglos, a little bit of BCB and lots of spams, but no DitD.
Indomitable026
I've looked around my train room and there's lots of Treneglos, a little bit of BCB and lots of spams, but no DitD. I'm getting a bit confused now, i'm sure 'm going to take some BCB stuff by mistake. Just need to borrow 'TG's drapes if you wouldn't mind, good chap
RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted October 14, 2012 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 14, 2012 TG is mostly packed away but i rescued the drapes before packing. Hopefully we'll remember between us.
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted October 14, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 14, 2012 Why not paint your layout bits with a signature colour ? DitD could be Red, Tackyglos could be Green, Once upon a time in the Desert could be Yellow, and BCB could be, well, how about Blue ?

Looks like New Haden needs another coat of quick drying paint then, but not Blue
Andy Y
Looks like New Haden needs another coat of quick drying paint then, but not Blue With all that spray glue you've been wafting around you could stick some coal dust on it.
Indomitable026
With all that spray glue you've been wafting around you could stick some coal dust on it. and BCB could be a saw dust and polystyrene fascia. I've still got it in my hair......
Indomitable026
Actually there's two colours you could use for New Haden Colliery fascia, the other being orange - now that would stand out. I've been going around with colour swatches trying to get a colour near to blue brick for Black Country Blues.....
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted October 15, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 15, 2012 I've been going around with colour swatches trying to get a colour near to blue brick for Black Country Blues..... Not too sure about the older ones but the colour of modern Blue Staffords seems to vary considerably - from near black through various shades of blue to almost a violet/blue - it can sometimes be a bit of a nuisance trying to match them in brickwork especially as I normally tend to buy them in small quantities. Old Gringo
Hmmm, violet sounds rather appealing? Not sure the other lads will vote for it though.

Yes I agree. I guess it will be down to a colour we like and looks ok. Of interest I notice Network Rail have a colour they use to paint out graffiti !! Hmmm, violet sounds rather appealing? RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted October 15, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 15, 2012 I meant use a spot of colour on each piece of the layout jigsaw, not cover everything in sight...
