A grab shot of an Australian version stabled at Parkes NSW. I have no idea why it is Elvis, what it was doing - this is quite a rural area.

Thanks to MJI I had a quick Google. My photo is 6 January 2023 so is in the middle of the festival. Details of train https://www.parkeselvisfestival.com.au/plan-your-visit/getting-here/train-2/elvis-express/    I couldn't see any explanation of why this festival has been held here for 30 years https://www.parkeselvisfestival.com.au/ but obviously a big thing. Good job we didn't try and park the camper van overnight here. And it really is a grab, one of the occasions I wasn't driving and simply took a series of shots as we drove over the ungated crossing. But then looking at the timetable seeing a train here is an event in itself.

i think it was breakfast TV, not sure as I was off ill but I thought that looks a bit like the side of an HST, pulled out XPT shown, said to wife an Austrailian HST, same as the one Michael Portillo rode in. Previously also seen on a C5 thingy.

One of the most out-of-the-ordinary trains I think to run on the Worth Valley, but I loved it :)  Prototype HST climbs out of Keighley on a dreary day in 2019.  Had a ride on it later in the weekend, it was terrific!

...and later on the same visit, in a shot I previously posted in the 'Prototype for Everything' topic ;)

Here's one for the experts to ponder over. what shade of orange has been used on this. its deeper/brighter than standard colas orange but I'm struggling to find a decent match on RAL.

any ideas?

I think it's called "Donald Trump" 😉
