At this precise moment, I am grooving to

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird (the live version with about half a dozen false endings!)

this evening I have grooved to (albums)

The Jayhawks - Music From The North Country (Anthology)

Joanne Shaw Taylor - White Sugar

earlier yet, I grooved to (oddments)

Neil Young + Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - Rocking In The Free World (apparently this happened on the 2004 "Vote For Change" Tour, you can see Michael Stipe and John Foggerty on backing vocals, search for it on You Tube if you don't believe me!)

Wishbone Ash - various tracks on Spotify

Yes - Ritual (again on Spotify the 28 min long live version from Yesshows)

Giving Tull a short rest, now playing:

Barclay James Harvest - "Live Tapes"

(Saw the John Lees version of the band in Colchester last week, they were great.)

Mostly Autumn - Live 2009, Part 1

Live album recorded on this spring's tour - unlike some of their disappointing previous live releases, this one really captures how good the band are live.

Arena - Pepper's Ghost

Cheesy as hell, but entertaining.

Pink Floyd, The Division Bell. Probably their finest.

Yep, I'd possibly go along with that, although I think "Pulse" probably shades it.

I'm one of those oddities who thinks Pink Floyd actually improved once Ranting Roger quit!

OMS: The new Best of Chris Rea double CD album. Hardly my usual prog, but I really like the guy, he just plays his music like he means it.

Therion - Gothic Kabbalah (This album is totally bonkers, but brilliant)

I've just been lent a copy of Therion's "Secret Of The Runes" and definitely agree about the bonkers bit! Oddest stuff I've heard for a long time, but it's growing on me....
