RMweb Gold Popular Post 97406 Posted April 23, 2022 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted April 23, 2022 (edited) The eponymous 97406 - a Lima loco that's been altered 3 or 4 times in its life. The photo was taken with the camera on a tripod and the smallest aperture the camera can manage (F13.6 as it happens), which means a decent depth of field so as much of the photo as possible is in focus. I let the camera govern the exposure automatically, but it was a few seconds. Edited April 23, 2022 by 97406 24

Popular Post AndyB
The prospect of a lazy afternoon by the seaside beckons for holiday makers on the lunchtime autotrain as it drifts into Nantford Quay. Meanwhile work progresses in the boat yard as a local adds a coat of paint to his fishing boat. Seagulls circle ready to ruin his handiwork! “After all, the best part of a holiday is perhaps not so much to be resting yourself, as to see all the other fellows busy working.” Mole, Wind in the Willows.

Almost entirely believeable, superb work on all levels. Minor and highly pedantic point, the headlamp code is wrong, set for Class C fully fitted, which this train cannot be because the leading vehicle is an unfitted ex GER van. Anyone who points out that I have no place to criticise this image until I can do as well is entirely justified! If somebody could provide a steam/smoke effect as good as this I'd be a very happy, if poorer, bunny.
