RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted January 25, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 25, 2021 Setting 'Balcombe' up at Scaleforum, September 2019. This was probably just after 3pm on the Friday afternoon: At 9.45pm, the gap is nearly closed! RMweb Premium Barry O Posted January 25, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 25, 2021 (edited) We have received a photo from Leeds MRS Exhibition in 1980... Note the visitors ( I think that we had about 10,000 visitors on the Thursday/Friday/Saturday we opened. The Corn Exchange in Leeds is very centrally placed in the City Centre. Long days as well (closed at 9pm every day) so we would adjourn to "The Duncan" a Sam Smiths pub nearby at the end of the day! Some RMWebbers on here.. Mike Edge, Nictoix, myself on Leeds Victoria/Dewsbury Midland at the top of the picture. Kingswear from the South Devon Group (Mike Cook) is in the front and Mike Cole is demonstrating his "Q sound" system on the test track on the right.. Happy Days! Note the Corrugated Cardboard used to go around the layout to hide the legs/electrics etc.. Thanks to John Shaw for the photo (taken from the Balcony).. he is behind the Kingswear layout (I think) Baz Edited January 25, 2021 by Barry O

Yes, Wadebridge was at York. Indeed various bits have been out a number of times on their own, particularly Wadebridge, Wenford Bridge and StBlazey but Wells was the only time the entire system, including Padstow, Boscarne junction, Bodmin North and the entire Wenford branch has left the loft. 1 hour ago, St Enodoc said: 2018 Jerry? Jol Wilkinson
Setting up and testing London Road on Friday evening at the Warley Show, 2016. Hywel Rees and Tony Montgomery (Ambergate) dressed to cope with the temperature in the hall. Colin McCallum introducing a young man to operating the layout. He was there with his grandfather and had been back three times to look at London Road. I managed to find a spare London Road badge for him. It is interesting to see how many young people were in the 1980 Leeds MRS show in 1980, quite different nowadays.
