Looking back to when I ordered SLW 2533B: 25216 (Western Region) on 7th December 2021, I have an invoice by email which says paid by card, plus order number so hoping to get an email when they arrive in stock but still a little confused as to whether I’ve paid for it or not.

It's a shame they're taking so long to come through to be honest.

Just over two years since they were announced, so not too bad given what has gone on in that time. I have waited a lot longer for some other items, even without a pandemic.

Spoke with Phil today and he said essentially the pandemic robbed them of 2 year’s development and production. Again suggested summer for these and probably next year for the 24. I did ask about ‘other’ models (ie are they working on another class) but he said the 24/ 25 have plenty of life in the variety available to bring to market.

There should be plenty opportunities to sell 24/25s, but I just hope they dont all take years to produce. I know we've had the 'pandemic' but we'd seen some pretty amazing looking Class 25 pre-production models for a long time before these are going to turn up

I'm not convinced there's much messing been going on there , looks like a non tablet catcher variant of the 24 is going to be produced looking at the windows as they would be different at either end if it was a modified tablet catcher version , interesting that it has the 2 different headcode boxes as 24133 did , I questioned Phil about the 4 slot boiler plate on the Highland samples and asked if 24127 was being done and he wouldn't let on but said even if it was then it wouldn't have different boxes as it wasn't viable to do in the tooling

Having said this it could be a modified Bachmann 24 although Phil finds the B word very offensive when it comes to Type 2s

Phil was kind enough to let me have a good look over Tamworth Castle at the weekend, even though my “review” took place in the car park after the fire alarms went off! Here she is posing on Parrot Hall -55F4FDC3-12F0-45AB-B499-77BEDDEDB15C.jpeg.ca08ab9d3b3a1791649bd260bb80a1ff.jpeg

I also went to Macclesfield show , I think Kevpeo photo of the model does not really show how good Tamworth Castle looks although thanks for the photo, , , the model is much brighter [colourful ? ] than the photo shows, The model was stationary as it was lent out to show the model. Phil said Models would hopefully be ready for delivery around Midsummer [July / August ?]

I'm confused, I have 25322 preordered and not 25912.  Has the number been changed do we know?

No Phil is doing both versions!

Hmm now I'm confused which is the preserved one, I thought it was 25322?

Will it look like 25912 but with 25322 on it?

What is the 25912 version?

I only remember a 25322 version to order too, I'd prefer 25912 given a choice

On wikipedia TamWorth Castle is 25932 so what is the 25912 version, I was after the preserved version as it is now 🤷‍♂️

Started off as 25332 then renumbered to 25912. That's an error on Wikipedia.

Looking at Flickr, in preservation TC carries the number 25332.

I've got 25332 on order, I'm now hoping its as it was in its 1980s guise and not 'as preserved'.
