How's this for a reply?

And by the way it's not a moan it's an observation. How I describe you, on the other hand, is a completely different matter.

Are you sure that isn't an oddball one in the second photo, as every other picture on Paul's site shows the ladder on the left hand side

I wasn't sure but there's also 70721 and 70725.

Right then an apology to Revolution and Rainbow Railways. It's looking like 70720, 70721 and 70725 had the ladders at one end but 70719, 70723 and 70724 (plus probably quite a few more) had them at opposing ends.

What a minefield wagons can be.

As built the ladder positions are correct. In later years after moving to Clay use some appear to have got moved but dating this accurately and on only a few wagons would have increased costs and left locating holes on the solebars.  We did however model the two different manlids as the main difference seen throughout their use.

I will look out for photos once you’ve added a bit of weathering and have them running in the speedlink workings on your layout. They will look good passing through.

thanks

Mark

Got mine APC overnight yesterday. Very nice they are too and very pleased to support the production of lesser spotted variants.

Them white co2 tanks with the orange stripe next please!

Oh and the cylindrical clyde cement pda bogie tanks would be sublime (I'll buy 12!).

Have I confused this with the KR models thread ?

Have these sold out? I was only given the option to pre-order (which I did!)

Thanks for ordering. They are all on the website and will still show as pre-order just whilst we work through all the pre-orders we have. We’ve been busy packing and sending every day this week and still have a lot of orders to get through. Thank you to everyone that has supported us with this project so far.
We are at DEMU showcase next weekend and will have all 19 versions available at the show. You can pop a note on and orders you want to collect there too.

thank you

Mark

Thanks for the clarification! I'm always happy to support projects that fill gaps in the market, and are thoughtful and accurately applied.

My rake arrived yesterday and have took a couple out to view.

They look superb, a welcome addition.

I will probably fit Kadee's and weather them.

Great service from Rainbow Railways and Revolution

Thanks Baz

Mine arrived on Wednesday, and are in revenue earning service:

A 73 arrives with a special delivery for the local chemical dealer's tanker.

Fifteen years later, a '56' prepares to depart with a clay-slurry 'empty'.  I might use Rule 1 and say this is for chalk slurry instead.

I hope the photographs are of use.  I am pleased with them, and had quite forgotten I had ordered the pair so long ago...

I must say I am very happy with the two TUA wagons I have so far and if I can get to DEMU next weekend I will be buying some more. The detailing and printing is excellent. Congratulations to Rainbow Railways and Revolution for making these available, especially as only 27 of this batch were made. Two other batches seem similar but with BSC pedestals.

Having looked at a quite a number of photos these last few days I can only find five wagons with revised ladders: 70720, 70721, 70723, 70725 and 70726. As stated by @MRDBRBLUE17 these were a later modification (around 1987).

All I need to do now is ask my friend Alex to cover them in some heavy weathering.

Well done to Revolution and Rainbow for producing this fantastic wagon. They arrived very well packed and using APC with tracking is a bonus. The wagons are superb and to me the ECC ones in particular really capture the real thing. Another excellent model to add to a Speedlink service!

Received my two ECC versions this morning, terrific wagons, well packed and I'd say extremely good value for money. A bit of weathering to be applied at some stage..

Full marks to Revolution/Rainbow for bringing these to market, don't suppose a PAA Tullis Russell wagon is on your agenda next...?!
