Southernman46
No 4-VEP's until April :( Slight wallet relief phew As the "Southern" correspondent (on a slightly unrelated subject) do you know what the latest is on the 442 useage between Vic & GA / BI from 01/12/10 ?? Last I heard Thameslink were playing silly ###### and the additional paths hadn't been agreed............

Baby Deltic
Even though I'm not a fan of God's Worst Railway, I do quite fancy one of the 2-8-0's in unlined black.
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted December 3, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 3, 2010 At last the Imperial Airways set. Another green T9, some sort of Maunsell brake, a bogie luggage van, and a pullman I can give to a mate. Santa Claus rules!

Dinmore Manor
I make it four new western 2-8-0's with the 2884 variants. Really fancy a BR black 2884, but not late crest, will have to wait and see what versions they bring out in the future

Given Hornby's supply chain dramas, I think this is really good news for us and Hornby. The December releases also sets an expectation of March for the release of Tintagel Castle. I believe that this is being manufactued by Sanda Kan.

Ozexpatriate
No mention here of the weathered Clan:- http://railsofsheffield.com/br-clan-class-clan-campbell-weathered-locomotive-dcc-ready-r2969-JJJA16103.aspx I couldn't even find R2969 (Clan Campbell) using the search on Hornby's website. 43009
I am going to get the East Midlands HST or the Arriva Cross Country HST and I can not wait until Christmas Day to see what Hornby are doing next year

paulbb
In the new releases, in the R2908 Train Pack are the Stanier coaches the newer type or the old rather basic ones from years ago that sit rather high in the saddle?
m0rris
Newsletter states R2906 Rare Bird Train Pack as not due until February.....and one has just appeared on ebay......errrr . I suspect that their promise of delivery by Christmas if ordered by the 18thmight be a little bit of a lie then. I've seen this before on ebay, I think someone was doing it with Bachhy products two years before they managed to get them to market! m0rris

RMweb Premium Downer Posted December 4, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 4, 2010 According to the November 1961 Trains Illustrated 2842 ended up on Tilbury shed a couple of months earlier. Must have come via the Tottenham & Hampstead or North London line, so not that far from the fictional Harford Street. A modeller's licence is hereby issued.
