saw a Bachmann army VGA wagon I fancied on the south Devon railway ebay shop that with the picksmallbiz code would have took £5.50 off it to £22, clicked on buy it now ........ all the money goes to the railway!

Thanks for the heads up.  That's a good deal and I was able to buy one for £22 plus postage.   It will be something to run with my Hatton's Warwell!

Our new favourite purveyor of overpriced landfill Rocket Railways again.  I just browsed their dustbin contents listings and there is an awful lot of boxes of scrap items, one hopeless solitary photograph and judging from the appalling litany of feedback, you just know packing will consisting of just taping the lid of said box shut minus any packaging that would be needed to secure said worthless contents and bunging it in the post.

Example:

God only knows what is in this pile of crap....

Why is it necessary to have a photo of a sign telling you what’s in it, when it already says that in the listing text?

I'll give this seller ten out of ten for persistence:

this has been listed at least four times, but

£8.40 for some motley N gauge track??

I've been in touch with the seller.

As usual, they don't know anything about model railways.

They guessed at N gauge but told me the rails were 15mm apart.

Having guessed at N, they copied the flexitrack description from

the Peco website, word for word, including the length, even though

they don't know if it's Peco or not.

I gently suggested their pricing might be a little bit 'ambitious ' .

Haven't heard any more from them.

I did think it somehow looked more like 00 track.

That is a Tri-ang Hornby Margate made OO Gauge System 6 track section. Not very flexible...

The long straight track sections used the sleeper sections from shorter straight tracks joined together, sometimes with a blackened metal clip.

one of the photos clearly shews the earliest pattern half sleeper ends...

The seller has obviously been doing their own homework.

Listing now shows Triang Hornby OO gauge steel track.

Price.....£1

From a Rocket Railways listing for some books:

Do they really think it is necessary to include this?

Perhaps not, but it does demonstrate some consistency.  I expect they have a template for posting their items and its easier to n/a than delete.

Remember Hitler in blue jeans and a white Ben Sherman shirt in 4mm scale?  Well now you can get Hitler, stark b****ck naked in 4mm scale, well SBN apart from the obligatory armband...

I must admit I'm quite tempted to get this as a far right sympathising flasher to locate round the back of the multi-storey car park.

(edit) He also does Trump having a Dump.  Makes me wonder if a local home for the mentally bewildered has lost an inmate.
