EBay madness

A picture tells a thousand words, we hear. Sure does - and they may not fit with the description. "Runs quite nicely" says the seller. What? With a front coupler like that?

Interestingly he sold it for £3.95 on 25Jan......

******** nitpickers!

Steady on chaps, that's one of mine!

Being a long time contributor to this thread just imagine my utter horror when I clicked the link. :wild:

Seriously Ian, well spotted and thank you. The screw had come loose and the coupling dropped. Now rectified and new snaps uploaded. It does actually run quite nicely.

The sale of this loco must be jinxed! Actually I got a 'you've sold your item' e-mail within 10 minutes of putting it up. There was an error in the listing, which to their credit, Ebay rectified in short order.

It was certainly worth more than the £3.95 . Somehow a BIN price had appeared , but not shown at my end.

Thanks guys.

It's actually appreciated when mistakes are pointed out.

One of the regulars on here have pointed out that I've also wrongly numbered a Hornby 'Clan Line' to whom a thankyou is given.

I was half asleep yesterday when I put them up!

Competition for the new Dapol 00 Western? Not surprised there were no bidders even at a low start price - "some of the details have been very well executed and has real potential":

That's really desperate.

Apart from a computer repair workshop, which would keep it in the spares box, I would have thought that it had zero value.

I've got a couple of PC boards in my spares box!

Does 'very well executed' actually mean 'totally removed' ??

Cheers, Gary.

Will the scrap value be worth more as that is all it is worth.

Looks like it was carved from a block of wood!

Yes, but some people actually enjoy modelling as opposed to box opening.

Plastic kits are a good way of getting some buildings on your layout, sure - but what colour did you say?

But I couldn't find, "5 x opened tins of Humbrol Paint, Red, Grey, Green, Brown, Buff....", in 'See Other Items...' :nono:

They've probably been used to spruce up the entire town of Dubrovnik!

You could bid on this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JIDENCO-GWR-SHUNTERS-TRUCK-/380586513689?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item589cb95519

or buy it new from here

http://www.falconbrassworks.com/falcon-gwr.htm

others too.

(Granted they are subject to availability)

From the same seller

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KIT-BUILT-PLASTIC-NON-CORRIDOR-BRAKE-COACH-/380588691445?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item589cda8ff5

Looks like a Tri-ang clerestory to me. (Others at £4.99 start.)

To be fair there are lots of reasonable offers - K's LNWR coaches for example

If Bachmann announce this livery next week someone is going to be feeling very ill I would wager:
