blueeighties
Lovely sunshine this morning, glad I got out with the camera, as just had a big thunderstorm this evening... 60006, Scunthorpe Ironmaster. 002 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 007 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 009 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Large logo 60! forest2807
It could be worse Lee. I usually manage to crack the damn roof when trying to remove it.
RBE
The silver 60 looks excellent Lee. Not an easy colour to paint that and look right.

WCML100
Hi Lee great work as always - love the 60's regarding the Hornby mk2, i haves found opening them up and using a screwdriver or something thin and long the best way to extract the glazing from the inside - hope this might be to of your use! RBE
Indeed. Its on my shopping list as soon as it hits the shops. I do get tempted now and again to go to town on a current farish one though just for the hell of it! If I see one at the right price I will I reckon. tinsley-toton
I've always wondered, how do they paint models in the factory ? T-T

D6775
31's looking good Lee. Really can't get excited about these new fangled locos in flashy liveries! Won't be long till you'll be knocking out some 60087's in Colas colours I'm sure, at least they have a relatively plain bodyside!!

Gerald Henriksen
I've always wondered, how do they paint models in the factory ? T-T It's not all paint. A lot of it is pad printing - see this example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IehdRUfBqg4
RMweb Premium newbryford Posted May 17, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) To this. The hardest masking job I have done so far. 016 by rothburyuk, on Flickr     The 70 is a bit of a pain isn't it! Looking good though Lee. Are you putting the extra cooler fans on it? Easy to make with some Evergreen plastic. I also took the opportunity to fill in the diagonal creases on the cabside (they are only on the original Freightliner 70001-70006) I have another one to do with pale yellow ends for 70802 upwards, but that'll wait until I do a Colas 60(quite pleased that I bought a good-as-new 60 today complete with a Lenz decoder for £50!) blueeighties
Lights, sound, action! Or something like that. Hornby 121 in for weathering, passengers, and light fitting. 001 by rothburyuk, on Flickr And a Bachmann 108...obviously already has lights. But, fitting a Zimo soundchip and 2 cube speakers, 1 for each coach. 002 by rothburyuk, on Flickr A pair of Hornby 08's I fitted lighting to a while ago, having there livery changed from messy Cornish China clay, to messy BR blue. 004 by rothburyuk, on Flickr And a nice little project, a Bachhy 25 that is getting renumbered, detailed, weathered, and a custom name. Then getting mounted in a display case for a driver who is recovering from a spell of poor health. 003 by rothburyuk, on Flickr
Jack374
Great work Lee, loving all the projects on the go When a customer commissions you to do a project, do you have to stick to exactly what they say, or do you add your own touch to some things? Just curious, Jack.
