Jaz
well Kal would say that when I partake of the art of shopping....it takes ma an age.....so shoppage works for me......and frankly when he is on e bay hunting down locos it rather works for him too maybe you should contact the dictionary people and ask for these to be added. The art of buy and making with the process of ending up with a model train layout.......... edit = oops forgot to say....those walls are really looking fantastic,....... and clever of Freebs to give you a vision of where you are going. RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted June 27, 2014 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 27, 2014 (edited) I'm really concerned that first time visitors to this thread may find the above picture slightly disconcerting, so here's a topic reset :jester: Edited June 27, 2014 by acg_mr

RMweb Gold ChrisN Posted June 27, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 27, 2014 You do not have to apply to a dictionary, just add an entry to Jimbo Waes big book of Trivia. If you add a reference, i.e. here it may just survive. 'Snowbows' lasted about three months before being removed.
RBE
More like this: But hey*, whatever floats your boat *did you see what I did there? Oddly they remind me of when you dont put lego people back together in the right order. Is the bendy neck looking over the shoulder stance genetic to those types so they can keep an eye on blokes checking out their rears?

I thought that they were just the bog standard usual ones with a rounded pillar.
Andrew P
Hi Al, just having a catchupage and trying to make out what the pics of the girls were all about that I could just see on the phone. I now need a lay down. BTW, Love the cutting and rocks, I will have to peg these pages for future reference. Bodge

RBE
After what's been going on on this thread today I would be surprised if you hadn't got a headache - I know I have... I bet if someone had said a page back that on the next page there would be cartoon pony/girl hybrids and ladies in jodhpurs you'd have thought that someone had been gluing without adequate ventilation! Anyway lovely dirty loo's there (if that's not a non-sequitur).
RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted June 27, 2014 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 27, 2014 Let's try and get this thread back on track The inside loop on the curve at the back of the layout was originally laid using 3rd radius set track curves, but this wasn't completely successful, as the transitions between the sections were a bit rough as were the transitions between reverse curves. Although everything ran fairly well, I was aware it was more by luck than judgement, and some of the new stock I've bought was very close to derailing on the joins. So, this evening I've taken up the curves: and replaced it all with flexitrack. Everything is much smoother now, as you can see: Much better. I've also put the cutting back on the layout, ready to start adding the landscaping round it: There will be some video in a bit. Al.
RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted June 27, 2014 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 27, 2014 Still waiting for the video to upload to YouTube, but in the meantime, I've cut the hanging basket liner roughly to size, to give you an idea of the finished landscape. Obviously the edges will be blended in, and there will be flockage and scatterage, and probably wallage and fenceage as well Anyway, here's how it looks: There, that should keep Bodgit quiet... Cheers all, Al.

RMweb Gold westerhamstation Posted June 28, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 28, 2014 Hi Al, bring on the Flockage, good to see that you have done all your walls in your railway room in limestone. You can see how good the cutting is going to look just by adding the basket liner to it. I have some Flockage of my own to do in the coming weeks when I can find a stockist. all the best Adrage.

RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted June 28, 2014 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 28, 2014 a bit more work this afternoon. I've started to ballast the newly laid track, to finish off the cutting at the goods yard end, and finish of the tunnel mouth at that end. And I stuck the tunnel mouth to the polystyrene back piece: I also sculpted the big block of polystyrene which forms the main structure of the hillside: I added a buffer stop to the end of the goods yard head shunt: and finally I filled in the missing piece of the grass slope on the side of the cutting: I've got some more video to upload in a bit. Thanks for looking, Al.
