jim.snowdon Posted August 12, 2017 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Careful, as there is a widely held and plausible view that the original purpose of the Break Van was to stop the rear section of the train in the event of a coupling breakage, in which case, the term Break Van was correct. On that basis, BTP's mis-spelling is entirely in keeping with their reputation within the railway industry. If only whoever wrote the original text had simply used "stop" .....
