RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 1, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) I suspect any flanges mentioned in MRJ would be finer than ours which would be slightly coarse 'Coarse is as Coarse does'... RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 1, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 1, 2015 I suspect the ingredients have travelled much further than that. I doubt if all of them have been sourced from cornwall Don One of our staff once went 'AWOL', simply didn't turn up for his next booked shift. After a couple of weeks, we realised, via local contacts, that he'd run away to Callington to seek his fortune in the Ginsters factory. After a while, as I recall, he turned up again and recounted tales of what went on there.....

cary hill
Just blundered across this photo of an S160 wending it's way West through Somerset in August 1944. Might be of interest to some on this thread if only for it's extreme rarity value: http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co.uk/PETER-GRAY-Easing-strain-help-pond/story-13807470-detail/story.html Edit from same source details of the first one to appear at Newton Abbot too and other details in the narrative http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co.uk/PETER-GRAY-Yanks-greeted-great-excitement/story-13872329-detail/story.html Edited February 1, 2015 by cary hill
