micklner
Yes, luckily I bought the latest version from DB, it has been better designed for OO use and is shown my J27 pictures . It still needed a couple of mods e.g reduce width of front cylinders before fitting and the same for other minor parts. He has produced a new instruction sheet for it as well. Think I am definitely going to add some LNER locos and stock to my collection after reading this thread. Looking forward to seeing more. micklner
Very nice. Did you use the Bachmann D11 as a base model? I have only painted this loco on commission. salmonpastures
Very nice. Did you use the Bachmann D11 as a base model? Hello Bon Accord, The engine and chassis are scratch built out of brass and nickel silver. Markits wheels and a Portescap motor and gearbox The tender was from a very early K's ROD kit,,, but it need a fair amount of work to get it close, I ditched their "chassis" and built one with pickups. If I had to start again I would build a scratch tender as well,,,, but I can think of all sorts of things to do before building another B3 !!!!. Mick's painting makes all the difference and as mentioned on a previous post I will post pics of it when it has been reunited with the chassis. Many thanks for your interest. Looks grand Mick - you have really tamed that ski-jump. I like your treatment of the front buffer beam... I'm just having a think about tackling that task on the front of the Hornby LNER liveried B17s where it is completely absent. How do you get your white lining so fine in that restricted space, if you don't mind me asking please?

pom-pom
HMRS LNER lining the thinnest version on the sheet . Same lining used on the Tender Front. Thanks, I'll have a go at that. I tried the front lining on a 1928 corridor tender freehand with a brush and also using masking tape but the result was quite frankly unfit for human eyes to settle on... practice makes perfect.
