Love the new video, some nice pans around the layout. The locos with sound are very nice..

How do you work the fiddle yard? It looks very hidden in the back with little to no access?

Hi Scott, The Fiddle Yard Points are linked at each end to the Switch Panel along the front of Much Dithering, so one Switch sets the Road. I can see over the top of the Backscene, but I need to stand on an old Milk Crate to change Stock, so that is mainly done out front, there will eventually be mirrors at each end as well to aid vision.

So a visitation from George T of this Parish saw us going to the Railway Inn, in Swadlincote for a £5 ALL YOU CAN EAT Carvery Breakfast, that set us up for a good morning.

Then back into TOPS we had some varied Stock out for a mixed running session, stating with the Bulleids and Castle that you saw in the last Video, we then moved on to the Q1 and an N Class, and finishing with some classic Tractor action in the form of a Railfreight 37, 37506 and Blue Large Logo Mary Queen of Scots, 37401.

I hope you enjoy this short Video.

That's the LAST of the Videos for a while now, :locomotive:  :locomotive:  :locomotive:  :sungum:  :sungum: I will be getting on with some more Scenics, ballasting the Goods Loop and the Branch, and then deciding what to do just inside the door opposite the Fields, I fancy a Farm or another Lane at least.

AAARRRGGGHHH! Not the old Milk Crate again! When that appears the usual result is that you rip the whole layout up and start again!

Andy, any chance of posting an overview photo of how you've got the Fiddle yard area and its in-out connections organised?

I still can't visualise how you've got it laid out and the schematic you supplied comes to dead ends as it reaches the yard.

Great stuff, Andy.  You have been very busy, I see.  I like the mix of steam and diesels, though I do prefer the former.    .

Morning Polly, Hope you and Ray are well.

Work has progressed well and it's starting to come together, it was the little bits like making my own Point Rodding and doing the Farm Track that I enjoyed the challenge of.

I do like many different eras and so being able to run a good variety of stock and eras does help keep the interest going, especially when mates come around that like different periods.

Hahha Dont worry, I wont be ripping it up, the Fiddle yard is a lot easier than it looks, I can reach all the Tracks without the crate, apart from the Tracks closest as they are directly behind the Back Scene boards, and should I have a major maintenance job to do, the backscene boards lift out as they only drop into support blocks.

Things are good.

Hi Andy

You say that most of your stock changes take place on the scenic section, very sensible if you are not standing on your milk bottle crate. Does this mean that your fiddly diddly yard is more of a set of storage sidings?

Yes Clive, in most post's I call it the Storage Yard, and it works, I just wish it was wider and longer like Tony Wright's Little Bytham.
