It's going to be a miserable few months, just keep the humour and interaction going on here as much as possible. Stay safe everyone. Of course, it's perfectly understandable that SWAG day had to be cancelled Such a shame, as I was looking forward to catching up with rmweb pals.... Never mind - next year Just wanted to say, thanks again for all your hard work @Stubby47 and @Ramblin Rich - do you mean I'm going to be even more miserable than usual? mullie
I had never taken one of my layouts to an exhibition before so hopefully will be able to do that after this is all over, might even have extended it by then. I have loads of time to kill so intend to start this week. Martyn 1

gordon s
Thanks for all your efforts to put on another great show. Just a shame events overtook everything.... I did contact GWR to see about a refund on my train ticket a week or so ago and was told no deal as it was an advance ticket. Luckily I didn't bin them, as the nice people at GWR have changed their minds (HMG statement more likely..) and full refunds are available on Advance tickets. That's a result... If anyone else is in the same situation, here's the link. https://firstgroup-refunds.fastrailticketing.com 4
RMweb Gold NHY 581 Posted March 26, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 26, 2020 Now here's a thought......... A month today we would have been in Staplegrove...... We could still do this......a virtual exhibition on the Sunday morning. Those of us who were to take layouts along could post a few piccies and a brief description, take a few Q&A. Demonstrators could do a bit of a tutorial.......... Black Rat could wear a shirt....... Spams could have a few beers the night before and look pale.... We could do a bring and buy with the usual to charity..... We could have a pasty ( as long as classed as essential shopping) Just a thought...
