  1. A few more of 5525 in action including a sepia conversion but did it work. The daisies in the foreground are by The Army Painter and are used mainly by wargamers. However they have a use in our field[!] too.
  2. I think you might need to go the kit route as I can't find a rtr 7mm version.JLTRT do a nice kit.At a price. The second hand market through the gauge O guild is another option.Telford exhibition isn't that far away.
  3. Definitely not.Its a 8750 class the same as my 3796 as shewn on this thread.Bachmann do the model.I think Tower do a 7mm version. A good guide here http://www.gwr.org.uk/nopanniers.html A very nice photo by Stubby no less here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/image/22913-t9-30120-and-pannier-tank-4666-at-bodmin-general/
  4. Its a glorious sunny summers evening in the South Hams as the Hackney Yard to Plymouth empty cattle wagon train trundles through Brent with 4575 class 5525 at the head. I don't think I shewn this view before from what is the operators chair over proceedings. Also of note is the toad has had the Shawplan laserglaze fitted.Black curtains all round hide all kinds of household junk etc.
  5. Especially for Sierd the Yuccas [Devonshire Cordylines] are back in stock ! http://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/yucca.html
  6. Very good Mark.Do you think it would work the same with aerosols as I don't have an airbrush.
  7. No not at all.Its just a generic bridge I built long before I planned a layout but it fitted that end that's out in the country [Rattery/Hemerdon] so to speak. You're quite right as to bridges in South Devon being stone but I'm reasonably happy with red brick as it stands.I bet there's lots of layouts up and down the country with that same bridge on.Andy Y said my layout was like something out the Ratio/Wills catalogue. Ah Tanners Rd,Goodrington.I parked near there a couple of years back in the pay and display car park.I got a ticket for overstaying my time by 5 minutes !
  8. Before I bed these two huts in properly I want to confirm the likelihood of them both being in a GWR goods yard.Obviously the corrugated hut [ Mikes Models] in light/dark stone is correct but a general hut [Ratio/Wills] as well.I'm not sure and don't have any photo evidence but would like to use them for both scenic effect and interest.
  9. A few more of 4948 which shew the backscene off in the distance ,hopefully. My meadow flower tufts came today and it was very quick and easy to 'plant' them and get the effect of buttercups/daisies I wanted.A blister pack won't go far though. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/72954-the-army-painter/
  10. Very impressed by the Army Painter meadow flowers.Easy scenics.

I'll post a photo on Brent if I remember.

  11. Have you replaced that rather dented foot stool Chris had at Warley then. He must have had his wallet on him.
  12. A bit of indulgence here on my part as I really like this train ,I've shewn it before and is featured in quite a few of the books I own.The Penzance to Kensington milk train. In Peter Gray's book 'Steam in Devon' there's a very nice photo on Rattery of Hall class 6938 'Corndean Hall' with eight tankers and a van in the summer of '61. So here's my 4948 'Northwick Hall' doing the same albeit in Great Western days.
  13. No just modelling magnificence from Gordon and Maggie Gravett. My seamoss trees look pi**poor compared to those.
  14. What do those old MAJ kits build like.Have you got any running on your layout Mike.
  15. When are we going to see some more Southern stuff on Brent . Did the 56xx class ever venture into Cornwall.Bodmin was mentioned.
  16. Mike.Look away now ! As mentioned I had a mishap and the old Ratio bracket signal succumbed under the weight of my hand. Its been patched up but I will replace it with one of Dapol's new versions when they're released. As its the approach to my fiddle yard would it matter it has only two arms instead of three.Maybe just enjoy the scenery and overlook the junk.
  17. Fabulous and Fred Dibnah would have loved it too. Excellent weathering.
  18. A few more of 6676.Just the straight out the box Bachmann with added crew, coal and correct [!] lamps.Talking of Mr Stationmaster.I hope he's taken his pills because due to a mishap of mine the next photos after these might/will give him heart palpitations and a cringe with swear words under his breath..... Better ask Spams on the Treneglos team Phil [Mallard60022].I don't think they were seen in Cornwall.
  19. Well you can knock me down with a feather. Thanks David. If I bought one I'd have nothing to pull with it.....
  20. Well, well, well, what have we here then.Even the postman ,Peter Hazell has is head turned and is surprised to see this loco class in South Devon as apparently they never ventured further west than Taunton.A short train of empties trundles through hauled by 66xx class 0-6-2 T 6676 still in her early livery.Scraping the barrel to shew something not seen before on here.
  21. I too was going to buy a green version but a discussion ascertained the ones at Newton would have likely to have been black. They supposely worked the Kingsbridge branch but have never seen a photo of one.Nice looking engines and the Bachmann model looks nice too.82033 was one of three at NA.
  22. I do like the way you've painted the roof.Any chance of showing how you did it sometime ? Did these coaches make it up the Teign Valley line then.lol.
  23. Its 'only' been in MI4 so far although there was talk of Andy Y doing a proper BRM article on it but he's very busy at the moment.Other magazines are also available.
