    EBay madness

Not madness and its good in a way to see good work being rewarded with a price to match.Wheres Coachman.I can't believe no bids on most of them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kit-built-GWR-Bogie-Iron-mink-wagon-by-D-Lawrence-Larry-Goddard-/151054894579?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item232b92c5f3 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-fabulous-LMS-Suburban-coach-in-OO-gauge-by-D-Lawrence-Larry-Goddard-/151054904561?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item232b92ecf1 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-fabulous-LMS-Suburban-brake-coach-in-OO-gauge-by-D-Lawrence-Larry-Goddard-/161036749348?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item257e89ca24 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-fabulous-LMS-Kitchen-car-in-OO-gauge-by-D-Lawrence-Larry-Goddard-/151054905440?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item232b92f060 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-fabulous-LMS-Express-coach-in-OO-gauge-by-D-Lawrence-Larry-Goddard-/151054905798?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item232b92f1c6 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-fabulous-LMS-full-brake-coach-in-OO-gauge-by-D-Lawrence-Larry-Goddard-/161036750513?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item257e89ceb1 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-fabulous-LMS-12-Wheel-sleeping-car-in-OO-gauge-by-D-Lawrence-Larry-Goddard-/161036750793?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item257e89cfc9 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-fabulous-LMS-12-wheel-Dining-car-in-OO-gauge-by-D-Lawrence-Larry-Goddard-/161036750988?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item257e89d08c
  2. I know what you mean.Even if you buy the rch 5/7 plank wagon from Parkside and apply the Powside transfers it works out about the same. Its not rtr so you pay for individuality and not every layout has them.Nice though. Hornby has taken a bashing recently but when they get it right doesn't it look great .An example with the Castle on the bank....
  3. On page 23 of Peter Grays book 'Steam in Cornwall' theres a photo of 30585 with a very modellable cottage scene.Hellandbridge 1961.
  4. It was all those family holidays staying at on the lovely Haven site at Devon Cliffs in the early 90s. Anyway, its a busy morning as we see Castle 5011 'Tintagel Castle' passing pannier 3796 in the aforementioned scenic setting.
  5. You could always rename her to this beauty http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Great-Western-Railway-GWR-No-3340-MARAZION-Steam-Loco-RP-Photocard-/370831182525?pt=UK_Collectables_Postcards_MJ&hash=item565742cabd Taken at Brent of all places ! Very modellable.
  6. Nice photos of 3454 at Tyseley here http://www.warwickshirerailways.com/gwr/gwrt1077.htm and especially for Mike at 81D here http://www.miac.org.uk/bulldogs.htm An SLS trip in '51 http://www.sixbellsjunction.co.uk/50s/510617sl.html [still in G W R livery ]
  7. Talking of Laira based engines here's kit built Castle class 4097 'Kenilworth Castle' on a five coach express to Plymouth including a H57 restaurant coach no less. The fading backscene is going to go shortly.
  8. That kit came from Powsides a few years ago now and is still available either as transfers or the full kit here http://www.powsides.co.uk/www.powsides.co.uk/info.php?p=0&search=beer%20kingsbridge in 4 & 7mm too. There's a 'F T Woolway' of Exeter wagon behind it in the rake too http://www.powsides.co.uk/www.powsides.co.uk/info.php?p=0&search=woolway
  9. Mike. That'll look a treat on the front of my 5011 and you will get the plates for 3454 from Modelmaster.
  10. Something definitely allowed is Laira based 3864 on a down coal train.Behind her is the area I'm planning on revamping next if I can get some more scenic mats. I'm also going to try and save the seafoam trees for reuse after a bit of tlc.
  11. Thanks Chris but I'm still saving up for a copy of one of your dirty videos you posted a week or two back.....
  12. Who knows but three coaches were just taken off at Newton Abbott and were added to the next Kingswear train.
  13. Are you good looking ,powerful, graceful and have four cylinders too then.
  14. Thanks Alan. Some more of 6829.Shout if you want something different.Having just seen the post on Westerners 'Wencombe' I think 5011 is the favourite on here next.
  15. Was the dark of the moon on the 6th June in a Kenworth pulling logs.Cab over Pete with a reefer on and Jimmy hauling hogs.

Spaghetti Junction was coming up, so we were bound to lose a few. And sure enough, the fork-lift-truck disappeared heading off towards Crewe.

  16. You just can't beat a Castle.Very nice Alan.I hope to add another to my fleet too this year though not in that livery.
  17. Grange class 6829 again. This time on a short length express to Penzance. Its been a scorching day and the fireman deserves a rest before shovelling hard again for the climb ahead towards Plymouth.
  18. I've glued them and don't want to dislodge them. It needs an major overhaul judging by the chassis. For several reasons its the only way you're see it at Railex.
  19. We've just spotted Peter Hazell that dodgy looking postman delivering a parcel.£7 postage on a tin of paint to that couple in the large house. That's the Royal Mail for you.... Incidently, word in the village is that the residents who live over yonder of the bank are miffed the landowner didn't upgrade their patch at the same time as the others. They've complained and we'll wait and see what develops.
