  1. Yes a pair of E129s coming up shortly but not brilliant in close up.A bit like myself really. I've also moved the tree.Lets see if anyone notices.
  2. Is that green van the same as what Bachmann are releasing this year in olive ?
  3. Here are a few shots of my Bachmann Manor class 7804 'Baydon Manor' as she sits on Tigley Junction shed awaiting duties. Her crew seem to have gone for a brew. She will need to be turned shortly.
  4. What a cracking idea for a layout but you need to read Westerners 'Wencombe' layout thread first to give you some ideas. The Salcombe to Dartmouth over a viaduct would be very mouthwatering modelling wise.
  5. Does any one else remember the days before Bachmann and the old Lima 4575 class prairie.Well here's one along side the Bachmann one for comparison.I've over weathered 5573 and it has a kit built chassis and other bits but give me the Baccy one everytime. No room for a crew with that flywheel in the cab. Is this where we're are heading back to with Hornby and design clever.

  8. Talking of Comet kitbuilt stock and I've retaken some photos of No 275 K42 full brake [1945 batch] in the cattle dock siding shewing both sides. Please be gentle as this was an early attempt at building.I have some more sides to do another inspired by Castle , Taz and others of this parish.Watch this space. If you don't want to build the bogies for this kit you can always use a pair of Bachmann Collett bogies available as spares. These are the correct 9' pressed steel type.I'll be doing this on my next one.
  9. One thing that does stand out from the Bachmann moulding is how better the rear window bars are compared to the latest Hornby 42xx offering. How many years between them ? Excellent work Mark.
  10. I think it was the late great Ronnie Barker who once said something along the lines of there's a difference between being the most popular and being the best.
  11. A few more of 5525 and a poor quality photo that shews my Comet K42 side on.This was one of the first brass kits I'd ever attempted.
  12. Eventually yes but I have a shortage of GWR coaches first and foremost so they take priority.Having said that are the correct LMS coaches available rtr for my needs ?
  13. It an overcast day in the South Hams as small prairie 4575 class 5525 comes along with a short train of vans heading for Hackney Yard sidings.
  14. I'd happily settle for those days again David if it meant we weren't in the state we are now.
  15. Quite right Mike but it wasn't planned to be that way as originally I was going to have a removeable section to make access easier. The boards were laid and the track joins were soldered onto copperclad strips.I never cut them as in the end I didn't mind the hop under.Being a youngster and the right side of 50 I thought it would be ok until I had 'elderly' visitors that is.
  16. Never mind you might see a nice pannier at Bodmin next month.
  17. Its not looking good for Wigan.Relegation looms.I've been there and its not nice.

  18. Great post Mikkel and I'm ashamed to admit its a long time since I visited DRC and you living in Denmark too. Maskol has been used to good effect on creating peeling paint.
  19. No problem my friend except everytime I try to take his photo for some reason he sings 'We're off to see the wizard...' I don't think he has a brain. Photos now added but not brilliant I'm afraid. They're a Monty's figure from Dart Castings. ps I've just asked him what he does if a bird craps on his head. His reply was 'I don't take her out again !'
